For a long moment, it's quiet. Dustin's chest is heaving with the force of his words, and Will is… standing there, looking shell-shocked, with that barely disguised look of hurt that Dustin once swore he would never, ever inflict upon him.
"...so you think this is my fault?" When Will does speak, it's quiet, the words barely a whisper. Dustin's heart aches at the sound, but not enough to tamper the seeds of anger still sprouting in his chest.
"Think?" Dustin laughs mirthlessly. "Isn't it obvious? Somehow, for some reason, you're the root of everything we've been through. We've all thought it, we all know it, but nobody's been heartless enough to bring it up with you because they're all too busy coddling you instead. "To clarify, since last night,” she emphasized, “You've had seizures, been burned alive by proxy because you're still connected to the hive mind, unlocked latent psychic superpowers just like your step-sister–" She glanced back at him briefly, "Who you then found out isn't your step-sister, but your actual half-sister because you share a psychic superpowered father– who just so happens to be the serial killer that your sister banished to another dimension."
Will made a sound that wasn't quite agreement and wasn't quite protest. She took it as confirmation and kept moving.
"But–" She continued, stepping over a root, "Somehow, everyone knew about this before you–" She stepped over a root "– so Mike fucking Wheeler dropped the bombshell that you were really supposed to be another lab experiment like your sister, and you've been lied to your whole life."
The footsteps behind her halted.
Max turned to see Will looking utterly exhausted as he considered her words for a moment before he mustered a languid half-shrug.
"I'm kind of having a rough day," He admitted with a weary sigh. She shot him a brief, disapproving look. He graciously accepted it with a wry tug at his lips.Series

Summary
The summer of 1989 is supposed to be theirs.
For the first time since they were twelve, nothing is trying to kill them. The Upside Down is gone. Hawkins is quiet. And the Party realizes they’ve never actually gotten to be normal teenagers.
So they make a plan.
One last summer to do everything they never got to do; parties, stupid competitions, late-night drives, bad decisions, and all the reckless things that come with finally feeling like the world might belong to them.
Just one last summer of being teenagers in Hawkins.
But once you’ve spent your whole life surviving the impossible, you learn to recognize when something isn’t right.
Which means that somewhere between the late nights, the laughter, and the slow realization that childhood is slipping through their fingers, the Party might be pulled into one last mystery.
And this time, it might change everything.

Summary
Mike’s heart lurches into his throat, constricting his airway as he takes in his face. Because he knows that face. His eyes have wandered along that strong nose, those bunny teeth peeking out between parted lips, that mole beside his mouth. He’s catalogued every detail of that messy brown hair, those long eyelashes, and that pair of enchanting hazel eyes, over and over again, to the point where it burns behind his eyelids when he kisses his girlfriend.
“Holy shit,” the man breathes, gaping in shock, and for once in his life, Mike doesn’t need a trick to stop his loud mouth. For the first time, he’s truly struck dumb.
Because it’s him. Older, taller, and different, but it’s him.
The man standing in front of them, somehow, is Will.
Or,
18-year-old Will Byers gets sent back to July 1985, tries to help them out using some awesome superpowers and futuristic wisdom, and Mike does his best not to combust in the process.
