Summary
No map had ever been able to hold the road Elias walked.
Cartographers had tried, once. Ink had traced the coastlines, the valleys, the ridges where clouds slept against the bones of the earth. But somewhere between one village and the next, the lines would blur, curl, and finally disappear—as if the land itself refused to be fixed.
Elias knew better than to trust a map.
He followed memory instead.
And memory, he had learned, was far more dangerous.(PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS STORY IS INSPIRED BY THE SONG 'HOME AGAIN' BY BLACKMORE NIGHT)
