Eöl's curse is different, Maeglin's crush on Idril is awkward but short-lived, and both of them find true love with Tuor. But one day Maeglin disappears, and despite the desperate searching of all those who love him, he is never seen again.
Years later, Tuor and Idril discover Maeglin living in Valinor raising a small child.
