Summary
Snufkin was late. The Moomins had been awake for two weeks, and spring had truly sprung, yet no harmonica marked the change of seasons.
Moomintroll was starting to lose hope. Every day, he had sat on the bridge over the lake, waiting. He tried to be patient and understanding, but Snufkin was never this late.
When Snufkin doesn't return to the valley, Moomintroll sets off looking for him. He finds his friend injured and in need of rescuing.
