Maekar Targaryen died old, died in battle, died as a King, and he for sure died full of regrets. Who must have lived a life with more regrets than him? He didn't know, he just knew that of all things he would forever regret the death of his beloved brother Baelor, more than 20 years past that Tourney in Ashford and he still hadn't forgot the sight of Baelor's lifeless body, if only things had been diferent, if only he could have lived in a world were he never swung that mace... Maekar should have been more careful of what he asked the Gods.
Bloodraven used to say that the Gods don't give anything for free, a life for a life, there was always an exchange. He dind't expect, however, that the Gods would send him back in time, to his childhood, but in a world were he indeed would never swung a mace, a world were Maekar Targaryen was born as Princess Maelle instead.

Jon Snow died killing the Night King, he wished he could say he died without regrets, but that is a lie, he regreted many things but most of all he regreted that he couldn't live a happy life beside his family, maybe that is the reason that when the Old Gods gave him a second chance he decided he was done with fighting, now being reborn more than a 100 years before his own time as a legitimate son he is set in enjoying this life as more than a soldier, no, this time he will appreciate every second he has, even if everyone around him would prefer him to take things more seriously, Dance of Dragons? Who cares, he just wants to spend time with his family!

Aegon's story goes something like this: He died and he was rebon in another world, Aegon doesn't have any idea about the place he was born in, and he may not be ready to face the truths of living in a Medieval Dark Fantasy, he also has no interest in becoming important, War for the Throne? He doesn't care. Political Machinations? He is too simple minded for that. Inveting Never-seen technology? He isn't smart enough for that. Becoming a fierce warrior? He doesnt have the guts to hurt someone. Becoming a very rich Merchant? He is too lazy for that!
So then you wonder, what can he even do?! Well, Aegon already has everything he always wanted, a family. Now, he will do all in his power to see them happy and united, perhaps some love is what the Dragon House needs to stay strong?
AKA: that time a very optimistic guy was reborn as the third son of Baelon Targaryen.
