Summary
Pope Cody moves through your life like a ghost. He’s quiet, watchful, there and gone before you turn around or have a chance to catch more than a glimpse of him. A lingering scent left in the air by some kind of body wash or deodorant: generic, clean, and always the same.

Summary
It has been a long five days of edging and denial, which is what my punishment is for breaking rules two days in a row. I did not take my medicine, and the next day, I did not eat. Was this due to work preoccupation? Yes. Did my husband care? No.
Did I remember to negotiate other terms (more reminders, allowances for busy schedules, taking time for analysis and communication of my needs)? Also no.
So, here I am on day six, absolutely feral over the smallest fucking things, waiting impatiently for him to come home. My in-laws are picking up our son and keeping him for the night, so I am just anxiously cleaning and cooking in an empty house while I unsuccessfully ignore the constant throb of my clit and desperation clinging to my bones.

Summary
“I have never met such a greedy, masochistic little set of holes in my entire life,” he says, his breath coming a little quicker now. I can’t speak, my breasts stinging too much for me to do more than just moan and cry out when one of the braids catches my nipple just right. “You beg me to tie you down and bruise you so much that you can’t move without remembering what we did. I bet you feel these bruises and stings for days and get wet thinking about how you got them.”

Summary
Nile is sitting on a patio overlooking the ocean and sipping on a latte when she gets the call. The group had ended up in Australia a few months ago, taking some time to lick their wounds, mental for three of them, mental and physical for one ancient one, and eventually split up, two and two. She and Andy had headed to Melbourne a couple weeks ago, with fresh identities and credit cards tucked in their belongings, courtesy of Copley.
She was glad that Joe and Nicky had been able to retreat somewhere for some alone time, but she would have really appreciated their continued company in dealing with Andy and her constant need to prove that she wasn’t just some regular mortal.

Summary
He dismisses the way the EMT is still looking at him like something just ain't right, and at the same time she asks "Hey, you don't like have a twin or anything do you?" Jack hears Lena's name being shouted as another gurney comes through the doors and he's met with his own face. It's bleeding from a sizable cut through his right eyebrow, and there are smaller cuts along his face (likely from where the windshield shattered), a split lip and Jack can see bruises already forming on the man's torso from a rip in his shirt. Jack can see the black fabric tied around the forearm in a makeshift bandage and his eyes dart back up to find a carbon copy of his own staring at him.

Summary
“You were testing us. Testing me.”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
Jack leans forward on the small table and Mohan leans back, but her mouth is quivering. “Did we pass your test, Doctor Mohan?”
The smirk breaks through, a dimple emerging on her cheek and - oh, that’s disorienting. Jack collects himself while she glances at her phone. “Under ten minutes. Not bad.”
“Usually my clients aren’t actively avoiding me, so you’ll have to forgive me the oversight this time.” He takes her soda and sips idly from the same straw.
Her lips grow into something wider, wilder. “Guess you’ll have to do better next time, Mr. Abbot.”
