Summary
The last thing you expected your boyfriend to be is a 3,000 year old ancient vampire with dubious, nefarious plans up his sleeves – and you, freshly turned, might just be the key part of it.
After he left you to fend on your own, you now have to work as a lackey for the Vampiric Court to earn their approval and protection, even though as the more nights you stay with them, the more you realize that they are just as corrupted, if not more corrupted, than the human society they deem as inferior. And as good of a person as you are, you don't think trying to make a change is up your alley – you really just want to survive another night.
Between running exceedingly ridiculous errands and trying to understand your evil ex's intentions in this world of night, you also have to handle the fact that you might have developed a soft spot for a few of these bloodsuckers themselves against your best wishes – including someone from your past you never expected to meet again...

But as time has its way with you, and an awkward but charming Gerard Way finds himself always in your vicinity, you start to wonder what could be so bad about being here.
