A plot bunny that wouldn't leave me alone. Haven't posted anything in a hot minute, figured I'd post this and feel something lmao.
***No one remembered who first decreed the law to avoid the woods of Forever Fall. They simply knew that to do so required no real legal consequence, because in the off chance you even survived a period of such lacking judgement, you'd never make the mistake again. Vale's history was steeped in myth and legend, and newly crowned Queen Cinder Fall knew first hand that the monsters from those stories were all too real.
After 20 years of unrest at the hands of her mother's failing rule, Cinder's own governance is a fragile one. Atlas and Mistral circle her kingdoms border sniffing for blood, and not all her enemies wear another's coat of arms. When reports of increased grimm sightings outside the forest borders start to reach her ears, Cinder must take a step back into a world she'd long since sworn to never enter again, with the hope that a pair of silver eyes she'd found safety in as a child could once more give answers to questions she'd never truly learned to ask.

Summary
