The audacity of this old, worn-out war criminal saying that so casually, making it into a light joke when he’s very aware of the suffering he had placed you in. How he continues to be a bystander with incredible power and authority and do fucking nothing with them.
You want to tear his throat out. To watch him choke on his gurgling blood on the ground. To hear his forest of ash and fire to peter out of existence.

Summary
One year after the Clean Sweepstakes culminated in the destruction of Restoration HQ, Sonic is called upon to help stop an Eggman assault on Westopolis, the city his self proclaimed arch rivals, Surge the Tenrec and Kit the Fennec, have claimed as theirs to protect. When an attack intended for Surge hits Sonic instead, he finds himself a potential danger to himself and others, and must rely on the last person he'd ever expect to be in his corner if he wants to remain free.
Sure, she says she's only helping because the Restoration agreed to pay her, but it's the thought that counts. Right?

Summary
Life had been simple for seventeen year-old Lanolin. Simple, and empty. Not even her dedication to her barista job felt fulfilling enough. Life felt like it was going nowhere for her, at least until a man, or well, a hedgehog, fell from the sky.
She takes him in and tends to his wounds, watching over him until he wakes up, bereft of his memories. Still, she can tell he's haunted by something, and vows to stick by his side.
A bond is born, and the two two grow close, helping one another grow and find their places in the world, all while being occasionally swept up in the flow of events happening in the world around them.

Instead of being found by Eggman after falling from the ARK, Shadow crashes near the town of Riverside where he's taken in by Lanolin way before she's ever gotten a chance to be inspired by Sonic and Amy's heroism. As they build something together, they must handle the events of the Sonic timeline as they happen, changing the course of history irreparably.
Primary pairing is Shadow and Lanolin, with other pairings showing up later.
Takes place immediately after SA2 and goes throughout the main timeline.
