   Summary

   Louis takes a third-grade teaching job in Clover Hill as a favor, mostly because he has nowhere else to go. He lost his job as a sous-chef, and everything else in Chicago fell apart. This Hallmark-channel town feels more like punishment than a fresh start. Louis prepares for the worst ten months of his life.

   Until Harry, the art teacher who ribbon laces his sneakers and paints rainbow fences, makes it really easy to get distracted.
