He could put that all behind him and start fresh. He could finally be alone without anyone around bothering him. No one would touch him, use him, crave him.
Vox was done with all of that. He was just going to work in peace. All he wanted was for people to get good television. Why would he want anyone to know him?

His mind is too strong. Magic isn’t real. Hypnotism certainly isn’t a thing. Vincent stares at the pocket watch in front of him with full belief that he’s going to sit here for two minutes and then be done with it. All of the sudden—he’s waking up the next morning with perfect clarity on all of the embarrassing things he was made to do.
