Summary
“I lied,” Buck blurts out, sheepishly. “You seemed so relaxed while you were sleeping, and with the extra shift you covered yesterday… I just wanted you to rest.”
“You lied about what?” he asks, even though he has a pretty good guess.
“About the time,” Buck confesses, then adds, smiling at him, bashful, “I also turned off your alarm.”
(Or, five times Eddie feels something as Buck takes care of him, plus one time he realizes what it means, and kisses Buck about it.)

Summary
“Is it possible,” Chimney says, breaking the silence. Buck looks up from his phone and sees him sip from a mug, eyes glinting. “For two people to get even closer after one of them moves away?”
Buck flushes. He locks his screen, the text thread between him and Eddie fading, but it just lights up again with a notification.
...or, Eddie moves, Buck pines, and they are both very normal about it.

Summary
It's week one on the job after Buck and Eddie formally disclose their relationship. After narrowly avoiding a station transfer, they vow to be on their best behavior.
The rest of the 118 has their doubts, particularly about Buck's (lack of) restraint... and, well, they're correct.
What they don't anticipate, however, is the ever-thinning thread of Eddie's restraint. Even if he's able to keep Buck in check, can he keep himself in check when there are freshly-baked muffins and near-death experiences on the job?
*******
AKA: Buck's bad with having and using restraint. Eddie uses it for him... until he doesn't.

Summary
Eddie climbs onto the bed. They sit side by side, legs extended, two letter L’s protruding off the page. Instead of pressing play like Eddie is expecting, Buck laughs.
“What?” Eddie asks, an instinctive smile caressing his lips.
Buck grips his jaw, thumb brushing over his teeth before he bites at the broad nail, stifling. “Just—did you ever see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory?”
Eddie nods. “Gene Wilder.”
“That’s the one,” Buck chuckles around his thumb, then lets it slide free. “You know the grandparents?”
Then Eddie’s laughing too. “Jesus,” he says on an exhale.
“I’m just saying,” says Buck, still giggling. “I’ve seen our future, and it’s bright.”
Or: God created the world in seven days. It only takes Eddie six to surreptitiously move into Buck’s house.
