The League thinks Batman and Superman are together. This is wrong for a multitude of reasons.
Though most of the League believes that Superbat is canon, there is one member in particular who is one hundred percent certain that Batman and Superman are not together. This is because that member is in fact Batman’s husband.
Hal Jordan (aka Green Lantern) has been married to Bruce Wayne (aka Batman) for five years and counting. Clark Kent (aka Superman) was Bruce’s best man at the wedding.
There isn’t much else to say other than the fact that Batman is not married or dating or otherwise in a romantic relationship involving Superman.
The League doesn’t take the memo until far too late.

Kukui remained completely motionless with the hope that it was all just a sick twisted joke Ash was pulling, some kind of revenge for stealing a bite of his malasada a few days back. Hoping that if he stayed still long enough, Ash would pop back up again with his tongue out and that signature grin, saying “Got you!”
So he waited.

As far as he was concerned, Peter was on the journey around New York just above a mustard yellow taxi on his evening patrols. Peter shouldn’t have stayed quiet. The Avengers would’ve helped—they’d begged Peter a thousand times to just ask.
But now, he didn't know where he was. What they wanted from him. What they’d injected into his body to make his limbs feel like melted rubber that had been compressed by a road roller.
At least he knew one thing. Mr Stark wasn’t coming to save him.

Peter squints at it. It’s unnaturally vibrant, standing out against the sea of mainly monochrome suits and dresses with its red-to-orange gradient. Pierced on the rim is a slice of orange, along with a cherry and a somehow lavish miniature umbrella. Something about it makes Peter feel uneasy.
Tony sees his scrutiny. “It’s fine,” He assures, “I had these all the time when I was your age.”

“That isn’t reassuring.”“It’s a mocktail,” He amends, “It’s just, like, way too much fruit juice and some club soda. Look, there’s even a little umbrella. I had to ask for that, you know.”
Something still feels wrong, but Tony has been holding the drink out for so long it’s starting to get awkward, and Peter is grateful for the gesture, so he takes it.
