"Maybe my powers are broken...," the injured blonde is perplexed, looking down at her hands. The next moment, she finds herself beside Irina and puts her hand on her shoulder.
"AH!" - Irina shrieks, turning sharply to her sister, who is no longer around her. "Fucking hell! Come here, you lousy girl," she rushes off in pursuit of Kate.
"Please forgive us for our first impression," Tanya tries to justify herself.
-----"Tanya?" - Irina asks uncertainly.
"It's just... She's so young, and so smart... And I love smart so much...", Tanya utters a little dreamily. All because as soon as Rosalie heard the sounds and words from Tanya, she was immediately behind her mate's back. She hugged Bella, one arm around her waist, the other on her chest, just below her neck. Then, she literally dragged her mate away from where she stood.
-----"Well, Rose offered to get rid of me when I was just starting to get an inkling of their supernatural family. So, she showed concern about the matter...", Bella starts to justify her mate, but gradually falls silent as she watches the whole clan stare at her and Rose in mute shock. "Baby...," Rose says slightly pitifully, hiding her face in the brown-haired girl's neck.
"What?" - Bella was genuinely perplexed. "It's what Tanya was talking about, isn't it?"
"Rosalie, did you really offer to get rid of your potential mate?" - Carmen speaks aloud the thoughts of those around her. There is no judgement in her voice, only shock and surprise.
"I didn't know then that she could be my mate!"
