  Summary

  “Direct Variation: a mathematical term for the equation y equals kx, in which ‘k’ is a constant, 23 in our case, and ‘x’ is a variable, standing for the number of Games, of course. It's a perfect equation, but unexplainably, there are inconsistencies. And if they have their way, there will be more.”

  The story is told, again and again; the wheel turns, unceasing. And now, it will turn once more. But the spokes are cracking under the weight of the cart, and the cart wobbles on the winding road. With more and more happening in the shadows, and yet another Hunger Games coming up on the path, it’s only a matter of time before the wheel shatters, and nothing is ever the same.
