“Baby!” Jack hopped the porch steps two at a time and joined Izzy in the open doorway, glancing down the hall to listen for Fang in the kitchen. The house was empty, Izzy the only roommate who worked fully remote. Even Jim’s cat was off somewhere outside for the day.
“Did you bring me a coffee?” Izzy crossed her arms and leaned against the door jam, letting a little venom slip into her voice to hide the way her heart was beating fast from seeing Jack again, after just a few hours apart. Jack propped her skateboard against the rail and shrugged her jacket off onto the porch swing.
“‘Course not, it's chamomile tea.” Jack handed it over.
______________Jack drops by Izzy's place with a cup of tea, and to check on the handprints she left on her girlfriend's ass and thighs.

His fingers landed on the spine of another book, but much smaller than the others and soft leather. He grabbed and pulled it out, gripping it tighter when he realized it was a small green notebook with lots of papers tucked loosely inside.
Izzy frowned, turning it over and not finding a label on it before letting it fall open in his hands.
