After Darktail takes control of a willing ShadowClan, the last thing any cat expects is a chance to change things. But when Echosong dies as SkyClan is trying to find the Clans, she and Firestar send Alderheart, Sparkpelt, Needletail, Twigpaw, and Violetpaw to the drought right before the Third cat is found.
Their mission: to help the Clans as doubt and fear spread and the Dark Forest push closer to war. This seems easy enough, but when even the Three don't truly know their own abilities, and lies are being told in secret, the time travelers have never faced something like this.
And for Sparkpelt and Alderheart, there's a whole different problem: their father is not happy with their mother right now because of the lies she was forced to tell.
Will these five brave cats be able to change things, or will the power of the Dark Forest overwhelm everyone?

ShadowClan has fallen. As Seedsprout had dreaded for moons, Needletail returned with her rogue group and overthrew the leadership. Moreover, Wispspirit, traumatized by the sickness and her brother on the verge of dying, seems to have joined them and impulsively taken one of Rowanstar’s lives with her very own claws. Now, Seedsprout struggles with his sisters’ betrayal and living in the middle of enemy territory, Wispspirit feebly tries to reconcile with her brother, and Needletail, ever closer to Rain than before, digs herself deeper into the hole she dug for herself ever since she was a rebellious apprentice.
On the other side of the border, Alderheart still remembers his initial journey to find SkyClan. He still remembers Needlepaw.

Timberfur never really fit into ThunderClan as he would have in another live.
Since kithood, Timberfur was always plagued by stories of his malevolent father and brothers, who were known for their dark deeds that had led to the near-destruction of SkyClan. He didn't remember them himself, because Silvy, a rogue she-cat, had taken him away from his evil family and placed him at ThunderClan's camp entrance when he was just a kit.
All he really knew was his father was named Anvil, and that one of his brothers was named Brick. They were the leaders of New BloodClan, and that they had found a way to resurrect cats.
The Clans feared what would happen with this development, and who they would try to bring back was one of the darkest thoughts in Timberfur's mind.Series

Orion is a kid who lives an unknown double life. Alderpaw is an apprentice who lives an unknown double life. There's no doubt, then, that they are somehow eachother's double lives.
When the Thunder clan Medicine Cat Apprentice Alderpaw reappears after his mysterious moon-long disappearance, the whole clan rejoices. The son of the deputy and leader has returned, and a new medicine cat is soon to be welcomed into the ancient ranks of the healers.
Alderpaw is not so confident in his return to ThunderClan, as fear and anxiety still plague his every waking moment. Within that, an ominous prophecy speaking of a shadowy future for the clans is delivered to him by StarClan. As it leads him on a long journey of discovery, he realizes that the darkness has returned to change his life once again. Alderpaw will either have to embrace the dreams he finds in shadow, or come to the realization that the darkness of the future has changed...and possibly for the worse.
