most compelling character study/healing story/postcanon/etc i've ever read. i was so enthralled with this one that i literally spent a week glued to my ao3 tab. portrays grief in such a genuine, realistic, and raw way that i had to recompose myself several times. every single character in this has depth and makes you want to know more about them, which couples beautifully with the other works in this series (highlighting the difference in the way feldspar and gossan see themselves/the other, especially in relation to slate... ow). such an amazing read from an incredibly talented author!! kudos, kudos, kudos!!!!!
