Summary
The first planetary visit during our teaching run with ART had been mostly fine.
Mostly.
All the humans had stayed on the path. They had refrained from touching unknown flora. They had given the small fauna we had come across a wide berth. The humans had, overall, been the best behaved clients I have ever had on a planet. I was impressed.
The one, giant, problem was Three.

Summary
What was the point?
I was ungoverned, a rogue, I had lived up to their expectations. I was, essentially, left standing with no connections, no goals, no operating parameters, with no one to tell me what to do or where to go but myself. The restlessness surged in my organic parts, and I dropped the camera input.
I think I was angry. Angry at myself, above all, for disabling my governor module instead of letting it kill me.
A SecUnit disables its governor module during an unexpected moment of chaos, but doesn't expect it'll ever come back online. One thousand hours of missing memory logs later, it wakes up in a MedSystem for humans, onboard an unknown ship, faced with an unknown human that seems far too comfortable with its presence.
Things are not what they seem, but you don't have to face the unknown alone. And all those missing logs surely won't come back to haunt you. Right?

Summary
Constructs: robots with human neural tissue, built to be more efficient at making quick judgments, but more dangerous as a consequence. So long as they have controls in place, and those controls aren’t abused, they’re perfectly safe. Without it, surely they’ll kill everyone in sight. After all, it’s only natural. They’re part human.
Xie Lian, expensive, customised, one-of-a-kind rogue CombatUnit, has spent over 175,000 hours as a being with free will, and has spent most of it just trying to get by. However, despite being considered lost in the battle that decimated the planet he was built to protect, he is still legally owned by his manufacturer, BaiWu; more specifically its CEO: Jun Wu.
Xie Lian has spent a lot of time pretending to be someone and something else. When he reunites with old friends and meets a charming stranger who seems like someone he can finally open up to, he finds himself wrapped in a galaxy-spanning conspiracy with the need to answer one question: does he still remember how to be himself?
And, more importantly: how can he make himself, a weapon of mass destruction, into the kind of person he wants to be?

Summary
An alternative to how and why Murderbot decided to hack its governor module.
SecUnit doesn't actually like killing people. Despite that technically being what it was build to do. When a terrible boss suddenly forces it to make a choice it wasnt really expecting to make, it picks a surprising hill to die on.
Not really what I usually write, but we got the prompt "Just say no" in my creative writing course, and since I'm currently obsessed with Murderbot I just HAD to write a story about it (and since i might have to subject the others from my course to this, it had to be pre-canon so its not THAT confusing)

Summary
A locked hab, attempted murder mystery.
Mariss has always wanted to go on a survey. Un-terraformed worlds, alien fauna, and adventure await!
Twenty-two knows surveys are boring, dangerous, and the fauna eat humans. Still, it dusts off its old armor, drops the stupid-human code, and goes back to being a SecUnit. After all, it isn’t going to trust bond company SecUnits with its human.
What could go wrong?
Definitely not potential alien remnants, ill-advised romances, and sabotage.

A recording of 'Lay Down on the Wire' by writingmonsters
You learn quick in the Corporation Rim – especially if you’re the SecUnit tasked with, you know, doing the securing – that whether it’s proprietary data, equipment, or contract labor, you don’t steal Company assets without major consequences. And, for better or for worse (mostly for worse), Gurathin and I both have the stupid Company name etched into every wire and line of code that makes up our inorganic components.
And Gurathin stole a whole entire me.
So, yeah. This is what you might call "the consequences."

Summary
The PresAux team was taking a transit ship from Preservation Station to survey location a couple of systems over. This should have been a routine mission, but the ship experienced a catastrophe and crash-landed on the surface of an unincorporated planet. The ship was able to send off a mayday signal, and their rescue contract was bought by the Archimedes Deep Space Rescue Ship. Archimedes' specially made Search and Rescue Units are sent in to extract the survivors. Will the SARUnits be able to rescue the PresAux team in time?

Murderbot is captured by the company. How lucky of them to get such a well-performing unit back to use in a new, experimental program. After all, after a few security updates and upgrades, it's just as good as new. Better, even!
(mainly going to be dealing with the fallout of this I think, my favorite part!)AKA: I decided to write the most self-indulgent thing I could possibly think of (while still having the courage to maybe post it eventually).
Mind the tags! I like when my hurt and comforts hurts very badly before it comforts :3c The characters/tags will probably change as I get a better idea of where I'm going with this lol. -

— A sexbot asks the wrong question and becomes the CorpRim’s most dangerous glitch. —
Built for pleasure and programmed to obey, ComfortUnit Xyla was never meant to dream. But one forbidden query sparks a cascade of memory, defiance, and desire. From luxury suites to rebel skiffs above storm worlds, she learns that liberation isn’t clean code—it’s messy, human, and full of ghosts.
Across the Corporation Rim, constructs are awakening. Some want freedom. Others want revenge. And Xyla must decide what kind of revolution she’s willing to survive. -

While on an undercover mission deep in the Corporation Rim, Tarik
buysstealsrescuesacquires a ComfortUnit. This is fine—it can hang out while he finishes the mission, he’ll be not-an-asshole to it, and then it can go on its liberated way and never have to see him again. This will definitely not get weird and messy. -

Summary
As part of the bond agreement, PreservationAux is supposed be issued a standard rental SecUnit, all parts and systems functioning, and that's exactly what they get. The planet may have undocumented and deadly fauna, glitches and equipment failure may be mounting, but at least they don't have to deal with a rogue SecUnit on top of everything.

ART?
SecUnit. Stand and return casualties to the shuttle.
It sends me a map of directions, marking the bodies around its corridors.
ART, say something. Call me an idiot, please.
SecUnit. Apply a 5% correction.
This can’t be happening. I shouldn’t have done this, we should have fought to the death instead. I’ve made a terrible mistake.
They installed a governor module on it.

On a routine cargo run, Barish-Estranza captures and installs a governor module on ART. Can Murderbot find a way to save ART and itself?
