FE RoyEd Week 2026: "Sports AU"/"We can't keep doing this"
Roy Mustang was the youngest signed player in AHL history, having been picked in the draft by the 'Central Alchemists' at just seventeen years old. He made headlines all over the country when he controversially declined their offer of captaincy three times, and then signed with the objectively worse 'East City Rabbits' the moment the Alchemists no longer held his rights. He finally took a captain position a year later and won the cup his first time out as leader: taking the Rabbits to glory for the first time in AHL history.
Since then things haven’t been going his way. Six years of middle-ground playing have made his name a joke. So he’s desperate for a comeback this year. Unfortunately, this is also the year Elric, nineteen, rough around the edges and definitely not a team player, joins the Rabbits. Elric seems hellbent on ruining Roy’s dreams, because the two of them simply can’t get along – let alone play good hockey together.
Except first impressions can be deceiving, and Roy comes to learn that he and Ed are actually a lot more compatible on the ice than Roy expected.
And, as it turns out, off the ice too.
