Summary
I had this dream, where we were riding this ferris wheel.
The sun burnt out over the horizon, leaving an abyss of sparkling lights against the black sky. I could see the entire city from where I was sitting, so small and insignificant, and for a moment — I was okay.
You held my hand in yours, your fingertips warm against the cold metal seating. Your long hair shielded me from your eyes, but you were smiling. Just you, me, and the night sky.
I remember thinking, “I don’t want this to ever end”. If I could bottle that feeling, hold it in my arms, I think I’d have the secret to eternal happiness.

Summary
Adam is exhausted. He wants to go back to sleep, yet all he can do is cry. His entire body shakes with his sobs; he can’t be bothered to try and be quiet anymore. He’s tired, tired in the way that a baby is before their nap, crying their little heart out for their mother to come and cradle them.
To cradle them.
He wants to be cradled, to be held in someone’s arms and rocked until he’s calm enough to sleep again. To hold him so he’s safe from the world, his nightmares — so he can’t be hurt again. So the bad, bad man who made him feel so dirty and disgusting — the type of filth that can never be washed off — can’t get to him anymore.
