Summary
Every night Buffy Summers goes to sleep and wakes up in a big bed, in a dark room, with a vampire in it that she cannot see, and who does not speak. Is she dreaming or is it real? Meanwhile, life as the Slayer goes on as Buffy juggles college life, friends, her boyfriend, vampires, demons, family -- and a new prophecy that could change everything.
Set in an alternate Season 5 with no Glory, and no Dawn. Deviates partially from canon just after the Season 4 finale. Deviates entirely from canon post-"Intervention." Epic length fic.
Warnings: Contains temporary (and canon) relationships: Riley/Buffy and Spike/Harmony. Also contains a canon character death.
