Satsuki’s head tilted sideways as she stared at her calendar in confusion. Well, even though it was slightly odd for her, she guessed it was possible for these things to happen, even when one’s cycle had become regular. Right?
She shrugged, deciding not to dwell on this anymore. So her period was late – big deal. It would come eventually.
A weird thought crossed her mind then. A ridiculous kind of thought. For the briefest of moments, she wondered, ‘What if I’m pregnant?’
She spent exactly 5 seconds considering that before she burst out in a giggling fit at her own wittiness. Seriously, though, she and Dai-chan becoming parents? That was the laugh of the century.
A couple of grown up kids raising a child – so rich.

How was it possible that she could discern something as complex as his emotional state just by watching his expressions and gestures, yet she couldn’t do something as elementary as recognize the face of her life-long friend and husband of two years?!
“No,” Daiki told her grimly at last. “I’m not fine.”
There wasn’t a word, nor phrase, in any human language that could accurately express just how far from fine he actually was.

When he pulled away from the kiss and licked his lips like the rascal he was, Satsuki had to bite the inside of her cheek to keep herself from making any suspicious noise.
“You’re terrible, I absolutely hate you,” she growled out quietly at him. She wished that smacking him wouldn’t be as noisy as she knew it would be, just so she could whack him on the head to prove her point.
Daiki chortled impishly, leaning in closer to whisper in her ear.
“Of course you do. That’s why you want to fuck my brains out right here, right now, common sense be damned - right?”
