Summary
On Chen’s Island, when Zane discovers that Pixal has been dismantled in the cell next to him, he is distraught. It does not occur to him that he can take Pixal’s neural drive with him. So, at Pixal’s insistence, he leaves, leaving (metaphorically) what’s left of heart behind him.
