Well, Eloise can’t claim she minds. He loops his arms around her hips, at the cusp of her thighs, and stoops to press a kiss to her forehead.
“Next Halloween,” he says, “for Cassidy’s party, we should go as Legolas and Aragorn. We’d look badass.”
A snort of laughter escapes her, widening his smile. “Um, I’m guessing Legolas is the archer?”
“You’d look so hot with a sword like Aragorn’s…” Eyes slipping shut, he rests their foreheads together.
“...Y-you say that about every sword you see ever.”
“And it’s always true.”
Desmond and Eloise return to their apartment and relax in each other's company.
