So often there was an untouchable sharpness to his first mate, and a distance that seemed unreachable, even when Crocodile had him in his arms. But now he felt soft, and open. Crocodile couldn't blame Mihawk for his walls and his edges—he had his own— but that didn't lessen the pleasure of seeing those edges temporarily blunted.

Galdino wasn't expecting an apology from Crocodile over that time in Alabasta when his boss and former captain had tried to kill him. In fact, Galdino was pretty sure that Crocodile was going to demand an apology from him. And he knew the sorts of things the former warlord considered a good apology.
But it was important to make amends if he'd be working for him in Cross Guild. Galdino was prepared, nominally at least, for anything Croc could throw at him.
He didn't expect Mihawk to get involved, too. It looked like it was going to be just like old times.
