{Canon-Continuation/WolfWren/Porn with Feelings} Sabine knows it's only temporary; she only has Shin until the war against Thrawn is won. The clock is ticking. Whatever they are, whatever they're doing, they don't have many mornings left to do it- even if they're in the Phoenix Squad-Room.
All my carefully laid plans to not get attached. My stern inner voice reminding myself this was a temporary arrangement, a detour in both our lives. It all came undone, and I could no longer hide from the knowledge that all I wanted was to fall asleep next to her each night and wake with her there beside me every morning.
The thought was a sharp, shallow pain in my chest and a darkness at the edges of my vision, all mixed with trembling muscles and heaving breaths and a spinning head; overwhelm in the extreme.
