Atsumu hums. “What’s the good part?”For a moment, Osamu hesitates.
“The good part’s when daylight first breaks,” he says slowly, fingers stilling against the tabletop. “The sky brightens, and for one moment you forget that you’re stuck in a world left for dead.”
One year into the apocalypse and the situation is dire. Traces of civilization remain, though barely.
Amidst it all, they're still alive. Why the world's come to this, it doesn't matter. What matters is this: the world as they know it has come to an end. Civilization has been fed to the dogs. But Atsumu and Osamu are still alive, they are awake and their hearts are beating and they are still. Alive.
