"In light of his life experiences it would be accurate to say that at forty-six Greg feels a bit out of his element in the romantic department. He’s a Detective Inspector in Scotland Yard, he'll figure it out. He is just a bit baffled, that's all, because he's pretty sure sending a relative stranger a pound of fine sausages at his workplace wasn’t the way things were done back in the day. Then again the sender is Mycroft Holmes, so all bets are off."
Lestrade finally meets Sherlock's elusive brother, has breakfast with him, gets some mixed signals and they go to Brighton. Somewhere along the way Lestrade falls in love.
