  1. this was beautifully executed and i love that it was told from someone else's perspective, someone more attuned to all the social subtleties that kageyama tends to ignore (or not notice). I love that you've used the dialogue and added to it, painted a solid picture of their entire week of camp outside the volleyball aspects. I love you describe each of the characters, likening Sakusa to a hurricane, how each of them have distinct personalities, like Komori's friendliness (and the pikachu strap!). I like how somehow at every camp, someone has a pack of cards and you bet people will be playing cards. I really like how this is a fic that's about Chigaya learning to make friends as well, and finding friendships in small familiarities. The small details are what makes this come alive and it builds beautifully on canon.

Thank you for a lovely read. <3

    1. ୧〳 ” ʘ̆ ᗜ ʘ̆ ” 〵୨ thank you for your kind words!
i've always wanted to try writing a fic from an outsider's perspective, someone who's looking and observing the development of a friendship/relationship, and when i noticed how Chigaya was like, EVERYWHERE, i knew this was the perfect opportunity! like you mentioned, it's also a good cover for Kageyama's lack of social awareness. though, this POV also has it's constraints, and at many points i did want to write something introspective re: kageyama's/miya's feelings, but alas... MAYBE NEXT TIME! lol
and LMAO at how someone always remembers to pack a deck of cards. i used to be that someone, because i always wanted to find people to play bridge with. but it's also a four player game and gets awkward when there are more than four people who want to play. i haven't played that game in more than a year and my hands are itching.
thanks again for reading and i'm glad you liked it!

      1. ////// No problem!

AHAHAH someone save kags from himself i feel chigaya's pain when he watches Kageyama. But if you do I'll be looking forward to it! More MiyaKage!!! /fire emojis everywhere

IT'S TRUE THOUGH i used to be that person too. though i usually ended up playing speed bc that's honestly more amusing and can be fun to watch (that was a spectator card game defs) but ahh now i miss playing card games

It was a pleasure to read <33 I love this kind of introspective build ups.
