Casing You: (Un)Characteristic

Fics in which an author has deliberately chosen to make a character act (at least somewhat) OOC (or, occasionally, more in character, thanks to bad writing/directing/executive decisions)
Often to highlight something about them as a character, &/or those around them)
(Occasionally simply in response to changed circumstances)
Some fics in which characters simply make (significantly) different choices to those made in canon,
Or which focus on character growth.
: ... is not a doormat (e.g. Tony/Izuku stands up for himself)
: ... makes a kinder choice (e.g. Talia takes Jason home)
: ... makes(/continues) a bad choice (e.g. Chim post-punch)
