He's off the couch in half a second, heart pounding with adrenaline, at the kitchen counter before he even realizes that the familiar smell in his nose is burning insulation.
There isn't any alarm going, no sprinklers on, no neighbors screaming or doors banging open, but Buck knows.
"9-1-1," says a vaguely familiar voice on the other end of the phone once he punches in the numbers. "What's your emergency?"

When Jason resolves to never, ever deliberately seek out injury again, he thinks he’s resigning himself to a whole lot of longing. Sure, Tim says he can just ask when he wants a hug…but if asking were that easy, he never would’ve started this shit in the first place.So when he trashes the injury plan, he’s pretty sure he’s also trashing any chances of physical contact.
Turns out? He’s very, very wrong.

Danny and Tim have been dating for about a year now, figuring out their relationship between Tim’s vigilante duties and Danny’s Ghost King responsibilities. Danny is taking a small (unauthorized) break from his paperwork to find his bf flat on his ass sick trying to go on patrol.
