Karl grabbed the tiny box and opened it, pulling out an ornate earring in the shape of a pink lightning bolt.
This earring was the signal of the Beast mafia, along with the tattoo of a fierce tiger adorning their right hands. Karl had admired Chris’ earring on more than one occasion, hoping to get one of his own someday.
Now here it was, sitting in his palm gently. It was simple, but spoke for so much.

Ava was a young woman with a horrible past. She was orphaned by an attack when she was a child, had abusive foster parents, and bullied by everyone in school. Yet despite all of this, she still tried to smile through the pain. She was a mage and for that same reason why she was hated.
Noi was a young daemos who was labeled as an outcast for being kind. His parents sold him to the Royal Family to pay off their depts and would have been killed if the prince hadn't made him a knight. Despite his 'weakness', he never stopped extending a hand to those who needed help.
On one faithful mission to save the magic on Daemos, these two souls meet. They both still carry scars and are in need of healing, during that time they start to form feelings for each other.
