Looey blinked a few times as the mime disappeared from view, escaping around a corner.

His knees hit the cold surface of the floor, peering down at the boots in front of him. The tips of his ears burned red as his mask hid the shame in his eyes and the frown that adorned his face.
“I cannot lose any more of these people… so, please… I beg you.”
For the first time in a long while, a while he could not recall at all, Cosmo felt absolutely stunned. The corners of his lips raised, joining the doctor on the floor, one knee propped up to support his burn-littered arm.
“You are an interesting one, Seedly.”
The ever-so-reliable doctor of Town Gardenview noticed the decline of patients recovering from the ichor plague. Desperate to keep his patients alive, he sought help from a scientist—one he admired years ago.
Meeting him once again, it dawned on him: he is less than happy about it.
