”Jagiya, are you proposing?” She smiles in spite of herself, lets the humor seep into her voice.
“I don’t know,” Sokka says, waving a hand in the air lazily. “I’m kinda high off these herbs that the healer gave me. Am I proposing?”
Toph shakes her head and flicks a pebble at him, so gently that he doesn’t even pretend it hurt. “You are insufferable.”
“Oh come on,” Sokka sighs, yawning. He’s clearly drifting off to sleep. “You love me.”[Or, five times Sokka jokingly proposes to Toph and one time he proposes for real. Tokka. Oneshot. Written for Tokka Week 2023.]

Summary
Legend says the world was thrown into turmoil that morning. The elements trembled. People as far away as Harbor Town claim to have felt the earth quake, and those at sea as distant as the coast of Akahime swear to the Spirits that a tsunami threatened to devastate their lands. Any flames within a twenty-mile radius reportedly shot up, burning holes into ceilings and ruining breakfasts. Lamps are said to have burst and shattered. Air acolytes claim a breeze swept through the compounds, so strong it cut down a tree that had stood on the island for over a hundred years. Of course, this is all legend. Speculation. Gossip.

There’s not enough to share with everyone, so don’t tell Aang and Katara, but it’s no fun to drink alone. You could come over and we could get drunk and you can fill me in on all the city gossip I’ve missed...if you want."
Toph let herself smile, now. A sex date, then. Good.
Or, after two years apart from each other, Toph has a date with Sokka and she doesn't know what to do with her feelings. What could possibly happen?

Finished both parts. Excellently done. Sokka x Kanto? A pleasant fucking surprise that is gone too soon.

Summary
Sokka doesn't really feel like going to a fancy political wedding with his sister and her boyfriend, even if it involves both of Aang's very best friends. Sokka is just a laidback dude from the Southern Water Tribe with no stake in world politics. What could he gain by traveling halfway across the world and jamming himself into an uncomfortable suit? Aang successfully tempts Sokka by describing Earth Rumble Twelve, an underground fighting ring where some of the most powerful earthbenders in the world fight for entertainment. When he put it that way...
It isn't long before Sokka finds himself skating along the knife's edge between prestige and pleasure. Sokka would do anything to get to know the mysterious Blind Bandit, and so he dives headfirst into her world of censorship and power. It feels worth the effort. All it takes is one incredible woman in several very solid masks.

I really really loved this. Part one especially just ripped my heart right open. I also loved Tokka. I imagine Toph has her issues for keeping her relationship with Sokka as is, also because of their positions with the city. So Good. Finished all three parts. Of course part three destroyed me. Even fictional love comes to an end. Ugh.
