Grogu shakes his head and buries his face against Din’s throat. He takes a deep breath, his arms tight around Din’s neck. Din furrows his brows and runs his fingers through his son’s damp hair. “Hey, talk to me. What’s wrong?”
Grogu leans back and stares into Din’s eyes, searching, and Din feels his heart skip a beat. “Grogu?”
He lets go of Din’s neck to sign, Is Daddy okay?
Din opens his mouth then closes it, confused. “I - yeah, Grogu, Daddy’s okay. Are you okay?”
Grogu searches his face again, and when his eyes immediately fill with tears, Din feels something too close to panic seize his chest. “Grogu? Tadpole, what’s wrong?”
