That was why he was able to maintain a body on the other side—half of the food I ate went to him,” Edward said. “I think when I took us out of Gluttony’s stomach using the transmutation circle, the same thing happened. I think we’re connected in the same way. So, if I die, you die.”
Ling stared at him.
It took a moment for that suggestion to sink in. He leaned backwards, frown tightening across his face. Ling scratched the corner of his jaw. Finally, he said, “Fuck.”
