Omega gave him a once-over. “You’re worried about me.”
Hunter returned the look. “Because you’re worried about something, too.” He grimaced. “And you don’t want to tell us what it is.”
Omega let out a heavy sigh. She closed her eyes, tightening her hands into fists before releasing them. This wasn’t a conversation she could run from, and she was a fool for ever thinking she could hide it from Hunter.
When Omega opens up to Hunter about her desire to fight against the Empire, nothing goes according to plan, and they're both forced to reckon with what it truly means to be a protector - and be protected.

Summary
Omega’s entire body was shaking, yet she still fought her hardest to reach the comm. She couldn’t pull too hard on her wound—she at least still had enough wits about her to remember that—but Omega did everything else she could to try to reach it. She even tried kicking her feet out, grunting amidst her desperate sobs as she tried to catch her foot on the device.
Nothing worked. Omega’s chest heaved with gasping breaths and sobs when she finally stopped, the shaking somehow worsening now as she closed her eyes and tried to at least collect enough air to cry out instead.
“Hunter!” Omega hoped her echoing voice would work in her favor this time instead of against her. She let out another few hiccuping sobs before she gathered enough breath to yell even louder. “Hunter!”
Omega accidentally gets herself seriously hurt on a job, and there's only one person she can think of crying out for when she needs them most.

Summary
Their last deployment had been rough, but the Bad Batch still has a hundred percent success rate. For all of their hard work, Hunter promised to take his squad out for a night of drinking, dancing, and whatever the kark else they wanted to do. After two rotations of being lazy, everyone agreed to going out.
While spending their leave at a club, Hunter keeps getting approached by an omega. Crosshair is the one tosend them away, and then lets Hunter know who he belongs to
