Summary
“it’s only two days,” gyuvin had scoffed when ricky first brought up the idea of him returning to shanghai later that month, expressing his concern over how gyuvin was going to fare during that time, and now it’s two whole fucking days i am going to fucking kill myself. ricky hasn’t even been gone long enough for the smell of his perfume to disappear, the familiar scent still lingering in their apartment, but gyuvin’s already antsy without a hand to grab or a butt cheek to hold.
“what is it, puppy,” are the first words that come out of ricky’s weary lips when he finally picks up on gyuvin’s insistent calls, and gyuvin’s body trembles even at the sound of his voice.
“ricky,” he whispers into the phone, “i miss you.”
ricky leaves on a business trip to shanghai, and gyuvin thinks there's no way that he can miss his boyfriend more than he already does—until, that is, he goes into rut.

gyuvin glances down at ricky sprawled petulantly across their sheets, silent rage rolling off his unmoving body in thick waves. he’s so perfect. doll-like, would be the best way to describe it. the realization makes arousal sink hard and fast into gyuvin’s lower stomach as he keeps staring down at ricky, unable to turn his gaze away.
he really looks like a doll, gyuvin thinks, and wouldn’t it be a shame if no one played with such a pretty toy?
ricky doesn’t react when the mattress dips under gyuvin’s weight. he doesn’t react when gyuvin slides one hand up the small of his back, the warmth of his hand surely felt under flimsy lace. he doesn’t react when gyuvin leans down to breathe softly against his exposed nape, stirring the few wispy strands curled at the base of his neck.
“babe,” gyuvin whispers. “wanna play a game?”
happy wife, happy life. those are the words that gyuvin, the devoted husband of one particularly finicky cat, chooses to live by. sometimes, he suspects that ricky likes to start fights just so they can make up, and luckily for the both of them, gyuvin knows how to kiss it better.

“it’s not uncommon,” ricky starts, the mild tone of his voice betrayed by the vicious glint in his eye, “for dog owners to take their puppies out on a walk around the park.” gyuvin chokes back an awful noise when ricky ends his words with a harsh tug on the leash in his hand, yanking gyuvin forward by the collar wrapped around his neck.
the fucking collar. it jingles with the motion, fully equipped with a shiny gold tag that ricky was kind enough to let gyuvin pick out himself when they got it engraved. qubing, it reads, with a paw print next to his nickname, and, humiliatingly enough, ricky’s phone number right under it. as if there’s any chance that ricky will let gyuvin out of his sight for even one second the moment they step out the door.
“this is so fucked up,” gyuvin whines.
puppy hybrid gyuvin wants to prove that he can be a good boy. ricky puts him to the test.
