“Don’t,” he says and it’s more of a plea than a demand. Bakugou’s never been one to listen before so he won’t now. Besides, he’s dying, he won’t let the Half n Half bastard ruin his moment.

Leaning over, Todoroki picks up the letter on Bakugou's desk. The one Deku took from the corkboard and strategically placed right in front of the sender to prove some weird theory that isn't true.
“I had no idea you were so fond of letters,” Todoroki teases, eyes flickering with gentle amusement.
“I ain’t fond of a single damn thing so shut your mouth,” Bakugou snaps back.
“If you say so…”

“I used my fire,” he informs Bakugou in the changing room after he finally catches up to him. He’s been eager to see his reaction, but Bakugou ducked out from the room and left before Shouto could catch him.
And now that he has him, Bakugou doesn’t seem impressed.
“I saw.” That’s all Shouto gets. A snort.
He cannot fathom why Bakugou seems grumpier now than before. He’s been pestering Shouto non-stop about his fire!Bakugou and Todoroki are drawn to each other, yet their inability to express their feelings keep pushing them away. This is the story of them finally finding each other.

Squinting over in his direction, Katsuki’s mouth struggles to settle on a shape. Crimson eyes phase through a rapid succession of raw emotions.
“I figured you’d check the news.”
At that, Shouto winces.
“I didn’t think to," he admits breathlessly.
Katsuki juts out his chin, widens his stance. As if talking down a meagre challenge he decides won’t be worth his time.
“Yeah.” Pause. “I gathered.”
This is not how it’s supposed to go. Not ever.
