5 more minutes.

Summary:

Three times one of them insists they'll only rest for five minutes.

Three times the other becomes an unwilling pillow.

It never ends after five minutes.

Notes:

Inspired by a prompt that read: "Five Minute Nap: One insists they'll only rest for five minutes. The other becomes an unwilling pillow."

I couldn't decide which version I liked best, so I wrote three.

I also set out to write PWP... and somehow ended up with domestic fluff, cuddles, naps, and mutual annoyance instead. Apparently that's just how these two work in my head.

One last thing. Since I've had comments about it recently, I wanted to say that these stories are written by me. The prompt was simply the spark that got the ideas flowing. I know it might seem like I've been posting a lot lately, but that's because when inspiration strikes, I can happily sit down and write for hours. Sometimes one little idea snowballs into several scenes before I even realise it.

I hope you enjoy these sleepy idiots as much as I enjoyed writing them.

Work Text:

5-minute nap.

1.

Ryuzaki's fingers dug deep into Lights side, holding his hips in a deathly grip. There would definitely be busies there tomorrow.

His movements were erratic but were still pummelling his prostate with precise aim.

Light for all that he couldn't move his hips thrashed with the onslaught of pleasure. His legs curled around L's hip and thigh encouraging L to go faster.

His fingers scratched lines down L's back for purchase, as his heart nearly beat out of his chest.

When he couldn't take it anymore Light's hand slid down from L back to his own cock.

It had already left sticky trails across both of their stomachs where it had been bouncing and sliding.

His body was oversensitive and the lightest hold had him on the brink. He wrapped his had around his cock and pulled up with the same momentum as L’s. One swipe across the tip and he went over the edge.

His cum splashed over his stomach in hot rivers.

Light couldn't stop himself from moaning out his pleasure.

“Ahn… L…”

L was still going, but his thrusts had become slower and deeper, as Lights muscles squeezed and fluttered around him.

He felt the wet heat of L's release as it filled him, and L collapsed forward into Light.

Light found it difficult to breathe beneath the full weight of the man sprawled across him. His hips were beginning to go numb, his legs still held wide apart.

"L, get off."

L’s arms slid underneath him pulling him into a bear hug, and snuggled into Lights neck, leaving sucking kisses along his skin.

"Five more minutes Light, I don't want to move yet "

Light sighed in annoyance but wrapped his arms around the man on him, fully expecting him to get up after catching his breath.

It was in the silent aftermath, thinking that if they waited any longer that they might be glued together; he realised the L was softly snoring in his ear.

He recognised he was trapped, with the weight of a full-grown man with his cock still buried inside him.

"L?"

He waited a few more minutes, but when L didn’t move, he tried to wake him with a pinch to his side.

“L?”

L gave a sleepy grunt but otherwise didn’t budge.

"L! For the love of... Get off.”

  1. 5 Min nap.

Light and L trudged up the final hill until they reached the grassy summit, where they spread out a blanket and unpacked their picnic.

Light had personally dragged L outside, armed with a basket full of sweet snacks and tea. Nothing else would have lured him away from his computer.

The office had become unbearably stuffy with the investigation in full swing and far too many people crammed into the room.

This was his break, and he was taking L with him.

Light leaned against a tree and overlooked the city from their height, while L sprawled out on his back.

“I’m just going to close my eyes for a moment Light.”

“Sure, you are. You haven’t slept in 2 days.”

“Just five minutes. Then we can start to head back if you like.”

Light let L arrange himself to use Light’s thighs as a pillow.

He really didn’t mind; they still had an hour or so before they had to be back.

He settled back against the tree, deciding he'd let L sleep for half an hour before dragging him back to work

--

Half an hour passed and Light nudged L to wake up.

He didn’t move, didn’t even acknowledge that he had been touched.

“L, wake up.”

The detective simply did not move.

He spoke louder this time hoping that would get him up.

“L get up!”

He was beginning to think L was doing this on purpose. He shoved L off his legs where his head hit the ground.

“Wake Up!” Light almost yelled at L.

Nothing was working. He tried to shake him, even pinched his side, but kept sleeping like the dead.

Looking at his watch he knew they had to be back soon, and they still very much had to go back down the trail.

For a moment, Light stood over the sleeping detective and wondered just how much trouble he'd be in if he kicked him down the hill.

He shook his head, No he would die. Not from L but Watari.

The man was scary when it came to his ward’s safety.

Knowing he couldn't carry L, the picnic basket, and the blanket all at once, Light sighed. With no better option, he rolled L into the blanket with the basket and tied the ends together.

Grabbing onto the end of the makeshift ‘body bag’ he started his trek back down the hilly trail.

When he arrived back at the car, sweating, sore and very angry, he dropped the blanket end.

He opened the car, unrolled L, and put the basket into the car. While he was standing there trying to find the best way to stuff L’s unconscious body into the car, he woke up.

“You fuc…”

“Light, you’re all sweaty. Did you bring a change of clothes today?

Light just stared at him, wishing he could have laser eyes to put holes into the man in front of him.

“Light, why didn’t you wake me?”

“Are you kidding me? You wouldn’t wake up!”

Looking at the blanket he was still laying on, then up at Light, he said.

“Well thanks for getting me here. We better get back to the office.”

Light slid into the drivers seat completely ignoring L as he climbed in, pulling the blanket in as well.

“I feel so refreshed Light, this was such a good idea.”

Light wanted to smack L in the head, but he was also pleased that he had managed to get L outside for a change.

“Thanks for not pushing me down the hill.”

“What do you mean L? I would never do that.”

“You had that look in your eye that said otherwise.”

“Look in my…? were you… Were you awake the whole time?”

“I don’t know what you are talking about.”

“I hate you.”

  1. 5-minute nap.

L was typing away, filing information, reading reports, working.

He hadn’t looked at the time in some time. But he did when he heard Light shuffle into his office with a glass of water in hand.

He had a red spot on his cheek from where he had been laying down.

“Light, what are you doing up? It’s 2 am.”

“Can’t sleep and I have a headache.”

L took his hand and kissed the palm.

“Have you taken anything for it?”

“Yes, I just want you to come to bed with me.”

“I’m nearly finished, then I’ll come to bed.”

“Hmm. I’ve heard that before.”

Light nudged L's knees apart until he abandoned his usual crouch and sat properly in the chair.

Once Light deemed his legs acceptable, he climbed onto L’s lap. Legs thrown over one chair arm, back leaning against the other.

Quite amused at the situation, L let Light snuggle into him. His arm slung around the top of the chair and face smooshed into his neck.

It wasn't often that Light became an oversized house cat, but when he did, L secretly loved it.

He kept one arm around Light so he wouldn't fall while his free hand continued typing.

“You’ll have to get off soon Light; my legs will go numb.”

“Are you calling me fat Ryuzaki?”

“I would never…”

“Good, I’ll only be five minutes.”

L nodded and went back to work one-handed. He concentrated as best as he could to finish up the last report on his screen.

Time slipped away from him until he registered soft snores in his ear.

“Light… Wake up.” L said quietly.

L sighed.

"Light..."

He gently nudged his shoulder.

"Wake up."

Light only burrowed further into his neck.

The leg trapped beneath him had progressed from numb to painful. Pins and needles shot from his hip all the way to his foot.

"...Light."

“Five more minutes…”

Sighing L tried to lift Light from the leg he was on, to the other. When that didn’t work, and he didn’t want to just outright push Light off his lap; he decided to use the wheeled chair and one leg not trapped to moved them.

Slowly, as to not wake him, L shut down his computer and pushed the floor with his foot, rolling the chair backwards.

Apart from bumping into a couple of walls and wrestling the chair over the raised edge where the tiled floor met the carpet, he managed to make it back to the bedroom.

When he was close enough to do so, he pushed Light gently onto the bed and off his lap.

He landed face first with a soft thump.

He jolted awake and looked at L over his shoulder.

“What was that for? You could have woke me.”

“I tried to. You wouldn’t wake up.”

L stretched out his leg trying to get rid of the cramp.

“Well, we are here now, come to bed.”

Dragging himself onto the bed, he draped himself over Light’s back sliding his arms around Light's stomach, spooning him from behind.

“Ryuzaki. Have you brushed your teeth?”

“I’ll get up in five minutes.”

“Liar.”

L snuggled into Light’s neck breathing in deep.

“Don’t you kiss me with that mouth, until you do.”

“Love you too.”
