“With all that I am and all I will ever be, I give my heart to you and every version of you I have yet to meet. I vow to love you until the day we both die and even beyond.”
The crowd was silent as they watched the pair at the altar recite vows, hand in hand. The gentle lull of a cello filled in the empty spaces and lifted the words being spoken at the front of the group.
“Do you, Jason Atreus Grace, take Perseus Jackson to be your lawfully wedded husband?”
“I do,” Jason’s voice was strong as always, but soft in the way it only got for his one love.
Percy’s eyes glistened with unshed tears as he slipped the white gold wedding ring on Jason’s ring finger.
“Do you, Perseus Jackson, take Jason Atreus Grace to be your lawfully wedded husband?”
Percy couldn’t help the wet chuckle as he met Jason’s eyes for just a moment.
“I do,” he said through the teardrops that started to make their way down his cheeks.
Jason slid the golden ring onto Percy’s finger easily. Percy dropped his hand for a moment to lift his own to wipe his tears. Instead, Jason’s hand was faster. Percy rested his hand on his love’s as the other wiped his tears with a gentle touch.
Sea green met sky blue for the umpteenth time in a series that would never end. It still made Jason’s heart race.
“With the power invested in me by the state of New York and as praetor of New Rome, I now pronounce you Husbands. It is time to seal your marriage with a kiss.”
Hazel had barely finished speaking before their lips pressed together. Jason’s hand stayed cradled on Percy’s cheek and Percy’s fell to hold him at the waist. The kiss was simple; just lips slotted together. Nothing more.
Growing up Jason had heard the residents of New Rome talk about the feeling of it. The feeling that the whole world fell away to leave just you and your spouse. He never understood how that could happen until it did. The faint sounds of people cheering were there at the back of his mind, but the forefront was just Percy. It was as if their life together was flashing through his mind. From the day they met, fighting for the world together, to this wedding finally happening. He saw them lying in bed with a newborn sandwiched between them. He saw Percy yelling at the edge of the field as their kids played soccer. He saw them growing old together, still in love with each other to the point that their kids grew from thinking it was gross to realizing how rare it was to have that type of love for so long. When they finally pulled away from the kiss, their eyes met again and smiles spread across their teary faces.
“I introduce to everyone, Perseus and Jason Jackson!” Hazel announced as he and Percy lifted their joined hands and then made their way down the aisle surrounded by their loved ones. Together as they would always be.
That night with Jason still in his place between Percy’s spread legs, both of them covered in the evidence of their consummation as their feverish actions fell to a slow melding of lips together, he knew he’d made the right choice. They could do anything as long as they had each other. Those fantasies of their future would come into fruition one day.
🌊⚡💒⚡🌊
Marriage wasn’t so different from the relationship they had before. They had always considered each other in everything they did. Percy still made them food and did the dishes. Jason still did most of the cleaning in the house. They still worked out together a few times a week. They still got too competitive with each other- even just with video games.
What had changed was the sex. They had never had any problems in their sex life. They fucked regularly and always knew how to read each other. That part didn’t change. What did change was the amount of spontaneous sex. Even nearly seven months after the honeymoon, the word “husband” was an aphrodisiac
That was how Jason ended up bent over the arm of the sofa as soon as their friends left the house on a Wednesday night.
“Such a good husband. Taking me so well,” Percy whispered in his ear where he was plastered against Jason’s back- the angle causing him to make short but powerful thrusts. “Such a good host. So good at taking care of people.”
Percy straightened his back, gripping Jason’s shoulder for leverage with his right hand and holding Jason’s hand with his left so their wedding rings were pressed together.
Jason bit down on his lip but still couldn’t hold back his sounds, feeling so full as Percy’s cock drove into him in just the right way. He pushed his hips back against his husband’s, meeting him in the middle and making the sound of their hips meeting louder. He didn’t care if it made him sore the next day.
“Such a good house husband. Should keep you here full of me all day,” Percy breathed out. “Fuck you in the morning. Keep you plugged full of my cum while you take care of the house. Fuck you again when I get home. You’ll always be full of me.”
Jason felt himself spurt out precum onto the couch where his dick was trapped and forgotten, a moan spilled from his mouth. Percy knew just how to get to him.
“Gonna get me pregnant keeping me full like that,” Jason panted.
“Fuck. Yeah, gonna get you pregnant with our baby. Keep you full even when you're already pregnant.”
Jason felt his eyes roll back as Percy’s thrusts got more direct. He was so close. Still his mind drifted with the topic of their dirty talk. He wanted to have Percy’s kids. He wanted to feel full of him all the time. The realistic thoughts of being ready for a baby weren’t there. It didn’t matter.
“Cum in me, love. Get me pregnant,” Jason panted, about to hit his own high.
As he reached his orgasm, he thought of Apollo. The god had promised them one day to tell them how it was possible for two males to have kids. He felt himself clench down around Percy as his husband buried himself deep inside him and filled him up. He thought about Apollo making good on helping them have a baby together.
He didn’t know Percy was thinking the same.
So just like other times, they came down together. They cleaned up and fell asleep in bed holding each other close.
🌊⚡💦⚡🌊
Jason still felt sore in the morning, but it was worth it. He woke up to gentle kisses over his eyelids and then over his face.
“Good morning, my love,” Percy whispered.
Jason smiled as he stretched out. “It smells good in here.”
“Breakfast in bed.”
Percy gave him one more kiss on the forehead before he moved away to place the tray of pancakes and eggs on his lap after Jason sat up. He found his place next to him in bed again and let Jason feed him bites of the food.
“Hmm. Do you remember Annabeth leaving a note on the counter last night?” He asked through a mouthful of pancake. Maybe it should’ve been gross but Jason still found it endearing.
“I don’t think so. What did you find?”
“There was a note. It just said ‘I got you’ and was signed as A.”
Jason hummed and then swallowed his eggs before talking again. “I have no idea.”
“I’ll ask her about it. That’s some weird Pretty Little Liars shit.”
Jason raised an eyebrow as he looked at Percy. “I don’t think Annabeth is a liar for leaving a note.”
Percy sighed and shook his head. “My poor baby. They robbed you of the American Classic TV show, Pretty Little Liars. We have to fix this.”
He grabbed the remote and the note left their minds to focus on the drama show.

Two weeks later, Percy had had enough.
They were both knelt down in front of the toilet. Again. It had been a week of it at that point. Jason woke up with the sun and hopped out of bed to just run to the bathroom and vomit. Percy was never far behind, considering he slept half on top of his husband each night.
“Jace,” he sighed. His fingers were soothing over Jason's back, but the queasiness was still there.
“I'll be fine in a few minut-” Jason was cut off as he lurched forward to vomit again. He felt Percy’s lips press to his shoulder, just as he had every day this had happened.
He got through that spell, spit into the toilet to clear his mouth, and set his forehead on the seat as the toilet flushed down. He couldn’t bring himself to care about the toilet being potentially dirty. He’d been cleaning it extra at night knowing these morning nausea spells had kept happening.
Percy’s strong hand massage over his neck and over each shoulder.
“I’m making you a doctor’s appointment. I’m not taking no for an answer. I’m worried. This isn’t normal, pup.”
Jason sighed and just nodded slightly without lifting his head. He’d fought it long enough. Admitting he was sick was not an easy task.
The doctor at the urgent care didn’t find anything physically wrong with him. So they sent in some blood work just to check everything and made an appointment with his actual doctor.
The call came before his appointment happened.
“Mr. Jackson. Is it alright if I call you Jason? Your blood work came back. Your testosterone levels came back at a good level, but these things can happen even then. Well, Jason, somehow our records of you missed marking your biological sex. May we get the name of your gender affirming caretaker in order to better your care in the future?”
“I’m sorry, I’m not sure what you are referring to. What can happen?” Jason waved his husband over to the couch from the kitchen. He had to be missing something. He put the phone on speaker between them.
“Well, looking at your hormone levels and what we now know about you, I am sorry if this seems like an invasion of your privacy, but we were unaware of your status as a transgender male.”
Percy and Jason made eye contact, confusion flowing between them. But the doctor continued speaking before they could say anything.
“Even with healthy levels of testosterone, it is possible to conceive. Your blood test indicates that you’re pregnant. We would love to have you in for an ultrasound soon. The levels of your hCG levels and heightened estrogen indicate that you are at least a month along.”
“I…” Jason stuttered out. He looked down his own stomach like it would magically tell him its truth.
“Let’s make that ultrasound appointment, ma’am. Thank you.” Percy butted in, though his expression wasn’t any less confused. They scheduled an appointment for the next week before hanging up.
They sat staring at each other in silence for a minute even after the line went dead.
“You have been extra tired since this started…”
“Perse…”
“Your chest has been extra sensitive the last few weeks,” Percy was basically whispering as he looked up and down his husband’s body. “You’ve been having a lot of cramping you don’t normally.”
Jason took a shaky breath. “I don’t. I’m not… I don’t have a uterus,” he shook his head. “I know we like to talk about getting pregnant when we’re making love. But, the only person who knows how to actually make it happen is…”
Percy took both of Jason’s hands in his own, rubbing a gentle thing over them to keep him calm. “I’ve definitely thought about him telling us… I’ve thought about it while we were together.”
There was a beat of silence.
“Me too,” Jason admitted.
They looked each other in the eyes, understanding and a bit of fear passing between blue and green.
“The note,” Jason whispered. “From A. A note from ‘A’ saying ‘I got you’ the night after we…”
Percy swallowed thickly. “I definitely thought about it that night. As we were finishing. As I was saying I wanted to get you pregnant.”
“Me too.”
“Do you think he…?”
“He took it as a prayer.”
Jason squeezed Percy’s hands.
“Shit,” they breathed out in unison. They fell into giggles together. Percy pulled Jason forward and wrapped his arms around him, pressing kisses to his head between his giggles.
Jason relaxed into Percy’s arms, letting his eyes close.
“We can do anything. As long as we have each other. We still wanted this. It’s just… a little earlier than planned. We’ll get Apollo to tell us how it all works.” Percy rubbed over his back as he spoke.
“I love you,” Jason adjusted how they were laying so he could look at his husband. He opened his mouth to say something sweet, but it stopped in his throat as his hips moved. “Are you hard right now?”
A pink blush rose to Percy’s cheeks. “I love you too, you know. And yes, sorry. I am. I think I’ve made it pretty clear that the idea of you being pregnant with my baby is really fucking hot. But I can ignore it because I can tell this is an emotional moment.”
Jason took a deep breath. “Well, fuck it was. But now…” He rolled his hips forward to push his own semi against Percy’s, drawing a moan from his lips.
Percy’s gentle smile turned into a grin. “I can take care of that.”
He easily flipped them over on the sofa and connected their lips, hand heading south.

The ultrasound a week later confirmed it- a small clump of cells settled into an amniotic sac. Not much more than a heartbeat, but there nevertheless. To the nurse’s surprise, he was further along than they originally thought. Two months rather than one. Those things happen. Numbers aren’t always the same for everyone, they explained. But Jason and Percy knew better.
This wasn’t going to be a normal pregnancy. This was a pregnancy influenced by a god. So it wasn’t surprising when two months after they got the note, Jason was presenting as if he were actually four months pregnant. The morning sickness had stopped and been taken over by a distinct curve in his abdomen that hadn’t been there before. Twice the speed. That’s what they figured was happening without actual confirmation because a certain god of medicine and music was distinctly missing from their lives and not answering any questions.
Halfway through that second month, Jason decided the month of sickness had been worth it. He was half asleep in Percy’s arms on the couch, watching Pretty Little Liars, but too tired to actually pay attention. Percy’s fingers were absentmindedly tracing over the taut skin of his belly, as they had been from the day he started showing.
Percy’s fingers came to a stop as a scene in the show got intense on screen. His attention went completely to the drama unfolding. Jason was about to let out a sound of sleepy protest when someone beat him to it.
He felt a soft thump against Percy’s fingers. From inside his own body. He tensed and felt Percy do the same.
“Was that…?” Percy whispered. He moved his fingers over Jason’s bare skin and then came to a stop again in the same spot.
Another small kick came again.
Percy looked at his husband with wide eyes, tears slowly filling them but not falling. Jason’s weren’t any different. The black haired man moved from behind Jason and instead found his place between Jason’s legs. He placed a hand on either side of his abdomen and started pressing kisses to his belly.
“Baby? Are you moving around in there? Did you not want me to stop?” His words were murmured out as he continued to press kisses down. A few more flutters happened in areas Percy had just left, but soon stopped again.
“I think you tired her out, love,” Jason whispered, running a hand through dark hair.
“I bet he is tired. Tough work out,” he pressed a few more kisses to the soft skin before coming back up to press his lips to his husband’s.
Jason hummed back against Percy’s lips. “I think you mean she.”
“Nope. He’s a boy. I can tell,” Percy said back matter of factly, making Jason giggle again.
“Shut up. You don’t know shit,” he teased.
Percy gasped in fake offense. “You think I don’t know my own baby? We speak all the time. He already told me I’m his favorite.”
Jason swatted at his shoulder playfully. “This baby is literally inside of me. I think I know her better.”
“I’m glad she’s inside you. You look so beautiful, my love. Absolutely glowing,” he murmured. Jason let his eyes close as Percy started to kiss behind his ear and down.
“No fair,” he breathed out. A shiver ran through him as Percy’s teeth grazed over his jugular. “Bad battle tactic. You said she anyway.”
Percy didn’t seem to care much about the argument anymore.
🌊⚡👣⚡🌊
“Everything is developing quite normally at the proposed rate of twice normal development,” said the son of Carmenta, Roman goddess of childbirth. “Your baby is in high percentile for both weight and height, which makes sense, given the parents,” he said, looking between the two former preators as they held hands.
It was only their second visit with Dr. Cruz. Things were going too quickly so they couldn’t go to a normal doctor after the first ultrasound. Even though they lived in New York full time, it was decided to go to New Rome for doctors. Camp Half-Blood’s medics were not trained for magical male pregnancy. The only information they could find online was from a strange website full of stories of men getting pregnant, but after Jason showed it to Percy, it ended up being an archive full of stories about fictional characters, not real people. So Jason wouldn't actually use any of the information from the stories he read. Our archive? Our Own Archive? Archive That’s Ours? Jason couldn’t remember. They ended up bearing the burden of the travel after that so they didn’t risk mortal doctors following up and figuring out he wasn’t actually transgender- he was just magically pregnant.
“It is surprising you’re not showing more. Baby is curled up really tight. They’ll find a way to spread out soon, I’m sure. This is the first non-god male pregnancy I’ve ever seen so I could, of course, be wrong.”
Jason’s eyes went to Percy’s. He wished his husband could hear his thoughts.
This is your big ass baby inside of me. I’m already huge and I’m going to get bigger. I’m never going to let you touch me again.
He was pretty sure Percy understood by the way he cleared his throat and looked back at the doctor.
“Is it.. Can we find out the baby’s sex today?”
A question good enough to bring Jason’s out of his head for a moment.
“We can! Do you want it in a note for a party or just here with us?” Dr. Cruz asked. He got a little more jelly onto Jason’s rounded belly and started to move the ultrasound wand around over his skin.
“Just us.” Jason agreed. He squeezed Percy’s hand in his, ignoring the coldness of the wand on him to just focus on the machine in front of him.
It took a minute to get the baby moved just right and to spread little legs in a way that allowed them to see.
Jason swallowed thickly, his eyes tearing up. “A little boy?” he whispered.
“A big, healthy boy. Congratulations.”
Percy’s rough fingers wiped a tear from Jason’s eyes. “I’m sorry he’s not a little girl. He might be one day. Who knows?” He tried to soothe him.
Jason shook his head. “No, no. I’m not sad. He can be whoever he wants one day. But.. But he's perfect. Look at him.” More tears started to fall. It was happening more and more lately. Big emotions hadn’t really been Jason’s thing before, but he couldn’t stop them now. And they all seemed to make him cry.
Percy held him close as Dr. Cruz wiped his belly off. Jason let himself cry into his husband’s shirt. His thoughts of killing his husband for putting a giant baby in him were all gone. Only one thing was left.
Our baby boy.
🌊⚡🩵⚡🌊
The sound of the front door opening brought Jason a little more into his senses. A hiccup made its way out of his mouth.
“Jace?” Percy’s voice called out from the front door.
Jason tried to get up from the floor again and failed again. His ankles were swollen and his socks were slippery and he couldn’t reach to get them off and he couldn’t find his footing with them on. He couldn’t get up. Another small sob left his body.
“Jason?” Percy sang as he neared the bedroom. “My love, I’m home. I went to the bodega for you. Guess what I-?” His voice cut off. “Where are you, beautiful? I know you’re home.”
Jason let out a soft whimper as he cried, but couldn’t bring himself to call out. He just listened as Percy continued to wander around the house trying to find him. Luckily it wasn’t long before his tall figure appeared in the doorway of the nursery.
“Jace?” Percy’s voice was soft. “Oh, my darling. What happened?” He was immediately there, sitting next to him and pulling Jason’s crying body into his arms.
“Wanted to help.” Jason hiccuped as he spoke, his tears not stopping.
“Honey, you don’t need to help with the nursery other than to tell me how you want it, remember?” Percy’s lips found the back of Jason’s neck for a soft kiss before he started to gently rub his nose there to get him to calm down. Many wolf instincts from Lupa had come flaring up as the pregnancy progressed.
“I... I was just gonna stock diapers,” he hiccuped and pressed in closer to his husband. “But the bottom drawer is too low. And I’m so big. I couldn’t bend down to get it because you put this giant baby in me.” A hand gripped Percy’s shirt. “I couldn’t bend over so I sat down to do it. But the carpet in here is so soft. And… And… I couldn’t get up.”
Percy kept himself wrapped around Jason, trying to keep him close as he tried. “You were being so helpful,” he whispered. “I’m sorry you couldn’t get up. But remember, your body is doing hard things right now. Hard, but beautiful things.” He brought his hands around to rub over Jason’s belly for a moment before going to the bottom of the large bump to lift slightly.
Jason let out a sigh of relief as some of the weight from his back was lifted and supported by Percy. “I’m big and ugly. I can’t just sit around doing nothing. I have to do something to be good enough.” He was slowly calming down, but tears still fell.
“You are doing so much, my beautiful, beautiful husband.” Percy pressed a kiss behind his ear. “You are starting our family. You’re making sure our sweet boy is happy and healthy. You are doing so much for us. And even if you weren’t, baby, I vowed to love every version of you. I meant that.”
Jason was starting to calm down more as the smell of sea and vanilla filled his space. He stayed quiet and just tried to take breaths, matching Percy’s pace like they had been working on. Eventually he settled enough to reach up and wipe his tears.
“Can you help me up?” he whispered a few minutes later.
Percy helped him and walked him to the bathroom and then into bed. As Jason had gotten bigger, they’d been spending more time there rather than the couch. It was harder to cuddle on the small sofa.
After he was tucked in and cozy, Percy placed a strawberry concha with dark chocolate drizzle into his hand. Percy only left to make him dinner and to clean up. They spent the rest of the night in bed, cuddled up and talking or watching Pretty Little Liars.
With the lights off, Jason was still awake as he laid on his side. His pregnancy pillow was there to help support him, but Percy was too. He always wanted to be touching. Every night Percy talked to and played with the kicking baby to wear him out so he’d let Jason sleep for longer. But now Percy was almost asleep himself based on the way his breathing was slowing down.
“Percy? Are you awake?” He whispered. Percy snuggled his nose up against Jason’s back and let out a little hum.
“I’m up. What do you need, love?” came his mumbled voice.
It took a minute for Jason to be able to vocalize it.
“I’m scared. Thinking about it too much.” His voice was barely there, but the tightening of Percy’s arm around him let him know he heard it.
“It’s scary, I know. We're in uncharted territory. But tell me. What’s scaring you the most?”
“I’m gonna have to give birth in just a few weeks and we still don’t know how it’s going to happen,” he let out shakily. “Is this baby gonna come out of my fucking ass? Am I gonna magically grow a vagina like Dean Winchester did when it was time to give birth?”
“Baby, remember Dean Winchester’s pregnancy was fan fiction. He's just a character in a TV show. This is the real world. We’ve got everything ready at Camp. Dr. Cruz will be there. Will Solace will assist. They’re trying to contact Apollo for help. We’ve got the best people on it. I’ll never let anything bad happen to you.”
Jason nodded and pushed back against Percy again.
“It’ll be okay?”
“It’ll be okay.”
🌊⚡🫃🏼⚡🌊
Jason gripped onto Percy’s hand too tightly, but he knew neither of them would acknowledge it. He’d been in labor for multiple hours and nothing had happened other than the extreme pain of contractions. Percy could handle his hand being squeezed a little hard when it was his baby doing this to Jason.
“Breathe, love,” Percy tried to soothe but quieted at the look Jason shot at him. He got another cold pack and held it to Jason’s forehead.
“Jason, if nothing happens in the next fifteen minutes, we’re going to begin the c-section,” Dr. Cruz informed.
Jason tried to take a deep breath before he looked up at Percy, eyes wet. “It hurts so bad,” he whispered.
“You’re so strong.” Percy pushed his hair back and pressed a kiss under the ice pack before putting it down again.
Those fifteen minutes were the longest of Jason’s life, contractions still trying to push their son toward a birthing canal that didn’t exist. When Dr. Cruz spoke again, he could’ve cried from the happiness of knowing this part of it was about to be over.
Will worked on setting up a curtain between Jason’s head and his abdomen. He wanted to scream and cry that he didn’t care that they were going to cut him open. He’d been stabbed before. Many times. He could handle the sight of it. He wanted to see his baby. But it was just the protocol. He knew that. He couldn’t hold it against Will, even if he really wanted to.
Dr. Cruz finished prepping all the materials by the time Will was finished with the curtain.
“Percy, you can come to this side if you would like.”
Their eyes meant and Jason didn’t have to say anything for Percy to decline. He needed to be on the same side of the curtain as his husband.
“Alright, Jason. The meds you’re on should make it so you can’t feel the incision, but we’re going to go ahead and get started. Take a deep breath for me.”
Jason squeezed his husband’s hand again, bracing himself for it anyway.
A sudden warmth filled the room.
“Hey, guys. Sorry I’ve been MIA. It’s been a crazy few months. But it looks like I made it just in time,” Apollo started speaking before Jason's eyes could open again. “Duty calls, but I had to be here, ya know? Literally.” He let out a small laugh.
Dr. Cruz was frozen. “ Lord Apollo, it is an honor.”
Apollo nodded. “I’m sure it is. You can put those away.” He pointed at the tools in Dr. Cruz’s hand.
“But I-”
The doctor cut off as Jason let out a groan of pain, another wave of contractions started, urging him to push even though he knew they couldn’t do that. And then…
The feeling was gone.
A wailing cry filled the room.
Jason’s eyes looked over at Apollo as he approached the two of them, a baby held by both of his hands.
“He looks just like you both,” the god spoke as he extended his arms to transfer the baby to Jason.
Jason reached out and took the little crying boy into his hands and then placed him on his chest. The crying quieted as baby and father felt each other’s heartbeats again.
“Did you just…?” Percy trailed off in disbelief.
“Yeah, didn’t I tell you both to just call me up when it was time and I’d take care of the birth?”
“No, no, you did not tell us that.” Percy said, eyes going from the god to his son laying on his husband’s chest. He reached out to run his fingers through Jason’s hair again.
“Oops. That’s my bad. I thought I did. Well, it all worked out. And I healed everything so you should be good to go like you were before.”
Jason looked up and could see the frustration in Percy’s eyes and saw him trying to fight it in order to be good. “Uh, thank you. Apollo. Thank you for giving us this miracle.” He seemed to mean it at the end.
“No problem. Let me know when you’re ready for another,” Apollo agreed. He winked, waved toward his son, and then they all had to look away as his form dissolved.
The room was silent for a minute after.
“Greeks are wild,” Dr. Cruz laughed out and shook his head, setting his tools down. “So what are you naming him? I’ll fill out the birth certificate.”
🌊⚡👶🏽⚡🌊
Jason ran his fingers gently over the soft brown hair. His son was sleeping with his tiny head on Jason’s chest. (It was not a tiny head. He was a very big one month old. But no one was allowed to say that other than Jason. And he didn’t want to.) He just wanted to keep looking at the infant. He was so soft. He had a light olive color to his skin, taken from his daddy. He also had Percy’s nose, but Jason’s full lips. He was so perfect in every way. The way his little face scrunched up in his sleep made Jason's heart soar.
Percy came in with a few brownies on a plate. He set them on the nightstand before crawling into bed and hooking an arm around Jason’s waist. He let his head rest on his husband’s shoulder and joined him in looking down at their perfect baby.
“I can’t believe he was inside me just a month ago.” The rapid growth had stopped when he was born. Well, at least the supernaturally rapid growth. He was still getting bigger in a way that made Jason’s heart ache for him to slow down. Percy pressed a kiss to his shoulder.
“You made him so well. Our perfect boy,” Percy whispered.
Even though he was being quiet, his voice was one of the boy’s favorite things. He slowly blinked his eyes open, blue eyes blinking as they found his dad. Even if Percy was his favorite, he still had his Papa’s big blue eyes.
“Well, hello there, Archie.” Percy cooed down at him. “You remember me talking to you and playing with you when you were in your Papa, don’t you?”
Jason just watched as the boy moved his little fist up in the direction of Percy’s voice. Percy reached out to allow the boy to grab onto his hand.
“Okay, Archie. If you’re awake, let me take you so Papa can have a treat in peace. We can play so you sleep extra good so Daddy and Papa can sleep good before their anniversary tomorrow.”
The infant protested at first from moving from his comfy spot, but happily settled in Percy’s arm once he was there. He stared up at his dad as Percy continued to talk to him.
It wasn’t quite what Jason had imagined at the altar the year before when he had kissed Percy on their wedding day. They were younger than he’d planned. But it was still perfect.
His little family.
Jason leaned his head on Percy’s shoulder to mirror the position they’d been in moments before.
“You’re carrying the next one. If he can make it happen to me, he can make it happen to you.”
Percy smiled down at him, his eyes soft.
“That’s fair,” he agreed easily. “Do you want a little sibling?” His voice went back to cooing as he looked back down.
Jason let his eyes close, letting Percy's voice soothe him as well until…
“Little Archie Nicks Jackson. Perfect boy.”
“Why are you adding an S to his middle name? It's just Nick.” Jason mentioned without opening his eyes.
Percy tickled the baby’s belly, making him squirm a bit. “No it's not. Papa is confused. We added the s to your name. On your birth certificate it says N-I-C-K-S.” He was still speaking in a baby tone, his voice directed at the infant.
Jason sat up, looking at his husband. “Perseus Jackson. Did you name our first born son after the New York Knicks?’
Percy slowly turned toward him, giving him a sheepish smile. “I took off the first K. And you know. You were pregnant with him for about Five Months.”
Jason took a steadying, deep breath. “And what does that have to do with his name?”
“I love you so much. Have I said that enough recently? You're so pretty. The most handsome man I've ever met.”
“Perseus. Why does our son being born in five months mean you named him after a basketball team?”
Percy was quiet for a moment before he met Jason's eyes and whispered. “Knicks in Five.”
If Jason wasn't so in love and endeared by this man's dedication to his hometown, things could've ended up differently. But instead he just laughed and laid his head back down.
“You're absolutely ridiculous. I'm telling people it's after Stevie Nicks.”
“I'm just glad you know who that is.”
