Work Text:

B'Elanna traces the part of her cheek where the bite mark once was. A dermal regenerator had taken care of it quickly. It had been gone longer than it had existed. Still, she swears she can feel the indentations of Seven's teeth all the while.

It hadn't been Seven. She knew it was a remnant of some long gone Klingon. A Klingon who would've been beaten within an inch of his life if he had randomly done something like that before he'd been assimilated.

At the time she'd been alarmed- frustrated, and maybe even a bit scared. Well, maybe more than a bit, but she wasn't exactly going to wave that part around. Now, she leans into the mirror, trying to picture the wound again, wondering what it would be like if Seven did it of her own volition. If she could get Seven to do it- considering how frightened the woman was of truly hurting someone.

Actually, despite all the stupid comments she's made about it, B'Elanna can see the use of that enhanced Borg strength for certain things. The kind of things that cause a warmth to curl up her spine.

Which is so stupid! Here she is, taking a traumatizing experience and thinking about Seven -

Well she's already thinking about Seven a lot of the time. Too much of the time.

She presses a nail into the soft flesh. It's not a replacement for teeth. No canine meeting fresh blood. Only a slight sting.

B'Elanna curses to herself, and backs away from the mirror. She still needs to go over some reports before she goes to bed. Though, truthfully, she doesn't need to do them tonight, she has time. What she needs is to get her mind off of Seven before she goes to sleep. Though she has a feeling that whatever she tries to do that won't work particularly well.

The bite might be physically gone, but mentally it's asking for all the attention it can get.
