Jayce felt like going on a library date with their kočičko but knew that Daniel had a dance competition to get to so figured that they could take him on the date in the morning then end with watcing him compete before ending with a part 2 at a cafe then back home for themselves to wind down. They decided to go ask him what he thought on this plan. They found Daniel by his keyboard, calming his nerves playin some soothing notes that just happened to be the begining to the song 'Murder on the Dancefloor'.
"Kočičko, I know you're nervous. Do you think we could maybe go to the Library for a bit of a book date just before the competition? We could find a nice spot there and I read to you to calm your nerves."
"That is a fine idea, Koloušek. You really know me so well"
Jayce kisses him on his forehead and gets both library cards of theirs of in fauna purse(Daniel entrusted the card with them). Both Daniel and Jayce put shoes on and move out the house to their car and Jayce drives to the library. Drive itself was quiet outside of Daniel humming 🎶 murder on the Dancefloor🎶.
Once there, Jayce got out and then opened the door for him and kissed his forehead. Daniel melted at this act as he got out. They held hands as they went in, getting their cards scanned and getting their favourite stories that Daniel had heard a million times but it always calmed his nerves when Jayce read it in by his ears, 'The horse and his boy'. This time however, there were some new annotations that were in czech and fauna czech wasn't truly the best when it came to reading allowed but they did try and throw in some czech into the reading as the annotations suggested. They didn't realize they had been put in by a Librarian friend of Daniel's that worked there as Daniel had asked them to do so in case they came together when his nerves were shot.
Jayce's voice was calming despite the fact they struggled with some of the words(luckily there was a czech version of the book nearby to read and follow). They were on the floor by their favourite reading spot with Daniel laying on their lap and squeezing fauna hand when he wanted to silently praise Jayce's pronounication. When they were done with their reading, Jayce pulled Daniel up and they kissed him on the lips. Daniel melted a bit before getting up and pulling them up.
"That was so calming, you've really gotten so much better with your czech, Koloušek."
"I mean, I don't feel super confident with my skills unless its for you. I guess we should get going. Its not long til your competition, right. "
"Awww, Koloušek. I'm feeling a lot less nervous now thanks to it. we should get going."
They kissed again before they left the library and got back to the car before going to the Thorp hall for the dance competition.
As they got there, they saw Eva and Benjamin there also supporting friends. Jayce opened the door for Daniel and let Daniel take the lead.
"Hey there Ben and Eva. I see you're both here to support someone."
"Hey, Daniel" "Heyy Daniel" They both hug him, "So I guess this person with you must be Jayce. Hello, Daniel has spoken extremely highly of you"
Jayce wants to wave, but Eva give fauna a nice hug and Ben joins in.
"Oh, hey you too. Daniel speaks kindly of the both of you as well. I have been meaning to get to know you both properly, I guess we'll get that chance tonight while we support our friends."
"I guess, lets get to our seats and we'll all talk later"
Eva and Ben go back inside and the loving couple goes inside as well with all Daniel's clothing to change into. Once they signed in, Jayce kissed Daniel, wishing him goodluck and went to their seats. Eva and Ben kept a spot open between them for Jayce to sit.
"thanks for holding a seat for me." "It was no problem, we both figured it would be the best way to learn more about you as we support Daniel." "oh, so you're both here to support him" "Of course, we were both free enough to fly through to support him, meeting you was a bonus"
As the 3 kept talking and getting to know each other better, they paused when the competition began a 20 minutes later. They all watched all the couples including the one that had Daniel in. Jayce cheer their boy on louder than the other two as they were proud of their partner.
Daniel's waltz was really amazing to watch and so was his tango & rumba. In the end, Daniel got 2nd place for his waltz, 3rd for his rumba & 1st for his waltz. They said their goodbyes to Eva and Ben, which consisted of a group hug and exchanging numbers and social handles. it had snowed outside a bit so the drive back home was a lot more cautious, but not quiet as Jayce put on some love songs.
When they got back, instead of going straight back in, Daniel, put some music on from the car, then pulled Jayce to the front yard and they danced a short tango. Jayce let themselves be led while melting at the feeling of being led through a dance with him. When it ended, they kissed and went inside. Jayce made some quick burgers and fed the animals. They then laid on the bed and watched some BBC Ghosts, cuddled and Jayce gave him a massage while they cuddled.
"I adore you Kočičko and you did so well today"
"With your cheering and support, of course I did"
"I'm always proud of you, my blommie"
They kissed deeply before switching off the tv and falling asleep…
