It was Izuku's birthday today. He had never had a party celebrating it, in middle school it was worse. They gave him spider lillies. Last year kacchan even shoved his face in a cake. Pink frosting all over his hair, his classmates were laughing at him like a joke. He never got over that.
Thats why Izuku never really expected anything.But now, in UA. He thought it would be a little different. They all make parties for everyones birthday. They got balloons and posters of crimson riot for kirishima and yet a cake in his favorite shade of red. For Katsuki they got him explosions drawings,cards and all might themed cake.
He thought that today, his birthday for the firsf time in years. They'd celebrate it, or at least give him a hug. At first, Izuku waited, then he saw denki who just woke up. He looked at Izuku for a sec, esspression tired. "Mornin..." that was all. No happy birthday dude!, no hugs, not even a smile, nothing. "Its fine, i-its only morning don't worry!" Izuku said to himself, maybe he was expecting a bit too much, too early, so he brushed it off.
But as the day continue, his hope begins to lose as the day went on. Not a single happy birthday from anyone, not even a smile. No one remembered his birthday? Not even his teachers, all might,aizawa, not even his closest friends. But its fine! He has been throught so much worse in middle school right? But still, he honestly thought it was different. At lunch they even forgot to make him lunch. He skipped lunch
Then in the afternoon. Uraraka approuched him for some talk. But other then that everyone else ignored him.
Now it was already dinner. Everyone gathered at the commom room. Izuku thought of at least a card. But he only thought, no one really remembered his birthday it was like just any other normal dinner. And yet again they forgot to call him, he missed dinner so Izuku just grabbed an apple. Now his heart was throbbing, it hurts. The fact that no one, not his teachers,not his closest friends, not all might, kacchan was even meaner, more violent as all the others ignored him. He wantes someone to give gim something. Afterall he tried his best ro be helpful to them. He was even there when the girls got harrassed, he listened to them, to everyone. He got the best birthday presents for everyone. He smiled even through everything, all he asked was a hug on his birthday that no one even remembered..
Was it all too much to ask? Was he not enough? Why isn't he important enough? Its all too much to ask for isn't it?
No one remembered that day, they forgot feeding him, but he still washes the dishes for them even though it wasn't his turn. Izuku you weak little needy dork! Your fucking pathetic! Middle school has been far worst. They shoved your face in the toilet you almost drowned. They took your personal stuff and showed it to everyone. They touched you, they beat you up till you were bleeding and bruised so bad on the ground crying and begging, messed up uniform. They poured milk on you, they choked you, they smashed your face in a cake then laugh, they locked you in the gym locker and shut off the light for hours. They told you to take a swan dive! So why are you crying now?!
All Izuku ever wanted was to be cared for. He cried his heart out, in his dorm in the corner. He cried so hard it hurts, his throat was so sore, red burned eyes, numbness was all he felt now. He was so sad due to lack of affecrion, the lack of love. He had flashbacks of middle school. He just wanted someone who could hear him talking and breakdown. Was he that disgusting?,dirty to even be touched? He was so sad he took pills, more and more he kept crying. He hated this!
What did he do? Izuku tried his best, he really did. He just wanted to be seen. How fucking selfish of him. He's so pathetic! Without all might he would probably been dead already. He would still be a quirkless nobody, a dumb ugly wannabe quirkless deku, useless! He just wanted someone, anyone to see him.
1AM in the morning, Izuku almost fainted from the pills but he was still crying. Years of abuse and neglect. Its fine. He didn't even mattered anyways. He never did...
Todoroki couldn't sleep that night. So he went out side to grab a glass of water when he heard noises from Izukus room. He decided to go check on it.
He was shocked. Very shocked to see a green haired boy laying on the floor ,crying, red eyes burn, cuts new and old ones on his body, pills all over the floor. Izuku was there all curled up crying and hugging himself tightly, pulling his hair and stomping his feet, poor boy was trying to overdose himself. A small cupcake infont with no candles. How pathetic.
Todoroki rushed over ro the small fagile boy. Izuku flinched, hard. Hands on his face expecting to be hit, but the movements were slow and shaky, he was tired, so so tired.
The split in half boy soon realized what was going on, then he remembered the date, he remembered that they left izuku hungry on his birthday. He saw the cuts, the pills and the crying weak boy. Shouto was absolutely furrious but guilty at the same time. So he calmly asked izuku whats wrong. The sobbing boy cried harder, he can barely say a word let alone talking. His eyes were panicking and trying to figured a lie.
-"I-I am fine!...ha-ha y-you-ou should g-go back i-its not a big deal anyways, i-im fin-"
He got cutoff by todoroki who pulled gim into a hug and said happy birthday. Izuku was shocked. He cried, and cried,and cried. Holding onto shouto like everything would fall if he let go, he buried his face into the half boys chest as he pulled closer. Mumbling things, making sounds.
Not that later Izuku had fainted from the crying and the pills earlier. Todoroki helped him cleanup the blood, the pills. He wished he knew earlier when Izuku was crying he was mumbling and stuttering about his flashback as he screams and pulled his hair, shaking badly and hiting himself.
Izuku deserved so much more than to be treated like trash and shits. But for now he needed izuku to feel safe for the first time. He helped izuku to bed. Then the rest of the night, todoroki was just next to izuku in bed, thinking of Izuku.
He deserved to be treated like a princess, he was so so kind and patient to everyone so that they won't feel left out. So why did they treated him like this?
Whoever they were, he will beat their ass till they fucking died.
-"Izuku, you deserved better.,i love you..."
