Work Text:
Entry 1:
Whoever came up with the bright idea to call it the Age of Adventure, is a fool, or has been spending too much time surface-side. "Adventure", I scoff at someone calling any of our work 'Adventurous'. The rare times we see anything of note is a blip of fancy among work, work, and more work. I think scholars should stop naming ages and let us call it what it is, the Age of Required, Tedious, Repetitive Labor
Entry 13:
Heard Alchemist drank Well Energon back on Cybertron. Some sort of pursuit of its healing effects. I don't understand scientists, if they want to know something, why not ask someone who lives among Titans! We know more than surface-parked 'intelligence'.... everyone knows that drinking Well energon will scald your insides before it gets a chance to do anything for you! You have to let it cool before it does anything for you. Any medic worth a cog knows that, but it isn't any substitute for regular repair. Drinking without properly repairing it is like trying to take a bath in it. You'll nearly melt your armor off if you try!
Entry 25:
Thought we caught a glimpse of one of Jiger's ships. Laid low in a nebula for nearly a vorn until it moved on. Lucky our Speaker is so calm. Was afraid we'd have to fight. [There is a sketch on the page of something like a ship but its covered in scales, looks somewhat like a monstrous whale]
Entry 42:
We joined up with another Titan. Biggest one I ever saw. She stretched across the horizon like some sort of heavenly body. I didn't know they could get that big... and her sailors say she's only getting bigger. I could believe she was nearly an eon old! Said she has memory going as far back as the stars, or near about. The name's fitting, called the Tower of All Possibility…
Entry 43:
She needs nearly a dozen cityspeakers for every wing of her frame. Each has their own council to divvy up tasks... seems like the whole Titan is devoted to science and mapping out the galaxy. They traded us some maps for some trinkets and information, scan data and the like. Most exciting my job's felt. Like I really did something important archiving all those scans…
Entry 44:
Cutie at the pump gave me his own special mixture of energon. I'll need to drink it carefully, it's specially synthesized from extinct cyber-flora they cultivate on the Tower. A shame. It's very good.
Entry 45:
The more I learn about the Tower the more I almost want to say and study it all... if not for this being my home, maybe I would. Maybe we will meet up again. I talked with the Tower. She needs speakers but they devised a special chamber for anyone to communicate with her. She loves conversation. Sees every word as an exchange and she gives, my beloved confidant. I feel like I need to defrag, my processor is so full.
Entry 46:
Tower's big as infinity but seems like they're struggling with fuel requirements. How'd a Titan outgrow her fuel needs? Maybe some sort of special adaptation? Regardless, been pouring over all my data while Tack rounds up all the modifications we made to Our Star for solar absorption to energon conversion.
Entry 47:
Cutie at the pump gave me a name after playing coy. Fossil Fuel is such a lovely name for a gal.
Entry 48:
It's hard to shove off but we've spent too long together. Worried about Jiger sniffing out the two of us.... and also the gravitational force of our titans together. Our Star is sad to go, but, sure we'll find each other again. We gave them the location of a Nebula they could shelter in, use the star nursery as fuel. Eventually we'll swing back around and check on everyone. Our twin city.
