The instructions were simple; retrieve Riko Amanai, escort her to Master Tengen, allow the merger to happen, Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto accepted it, after all, they were the strongest.
They had arrived to the place, Suguru rung the bell, a huge explosion happened, which sent the girl flying down from the building, but he used his pink stingray-looking curse to fly up and catch her in the air. "This girl is the Star Plasma Vessel, huh?" He muttered to himself as he cradled her unconscious body a little closer
Minutes later, Suguru sat on the couch, calmly watching one of the 'Q' group mercenaries get tormented by one of his curses, finally, Satoru arrived to the place, he looked at Amanai, she was out cold, peacefully asleep. "If only we could use Reversed Cursed Technique like Shoko." They wondered and debated, but they needed her awake, so Satoru scooped the unconscious girl up, she was slightly drooling in her sleep, finally her eyes seemed to stir open... and-
SLAP.
Not even Satoru's Infinity could've seen that coming apparently, he looked somewhat offended by the audacity.
The girl took on a fighting stance. "You scum! If you're trying to kill me! You'll be the one to die first!"
Suguru shook his head with a smile before patting Satoru's shoulder and turning over to her. "Calm down Riko-chan, we're not with the group that attacked you." he said, on a very gentle tone, little would he know about what would come next.
Riko's eyes widened, she felt her cheeks reddening up. This idiot... his eyes, his face, that neatly tied long hair, the way he had tried to calm me down... this is all just like that stupid romance manga I've been reading! She huffed. "Hmph! Fine! I believe you, but keep your friend's hands away from me!" she said, crossing her arms, looking away to hide her blush.
Satoru's gaze snapped to her, first that slap and now this? "Why you brat...!" He could only grumble as Suguru chuckled again, amused by her feisty behavior, Satoru looked back at him like thinking.. Don't get smug on me, Suguru. The girl smoothed her skirt and looked back at him. "So, what's your name?"
Both Satoru and Suguru gazes returned to her, Satoru, always the self absorbed man, spoke up first, "My name? Pfft, Satoru Gojo, rich, handsome, the-"
"I wasn't talking to you, jerk!" Riko yelped out, which made Satoru sigh again. This is gonna be a long ass evening, is it?
Riko cleared her throat loudly, and looked up at Suguru, her eyes softening up "So? It's very rude to leave a girl waiting, y'know?" Suguru nodded "Right, right, my apologies, Riko-chan, my name is Suguru Geto, it's my pleasure to meet you, we will be protecting you for the time being".
Riko's face heated up again. D-damn him, why does he keep calling me that?! And promising to protect me with that tone? Does he realize what he's doing to me? She thought, she'd have kept going, but her inner ramblings were interrupted by Kuroi's arrival.
"Riko-sama! Are you alright? These two young men are on our side!" She said, she was riding on some pink ugly thing though. "Kuroi, what is that thing you are riding?" the young girl asked a bit confused.
"This is the Cursed Technique of the young man over there with the bangs." She explained. Satoru sputtered at that, with a smirk, finally getting back at him.
But Suguru was taken aback by the comment, with a bit of a comically dejected tone. "Could you please not call me that-" he cleared his throat and recovered quickly, "That'd be Cursed Spirit Manipulation. Just as the name implies, I can control the cursed spirits that I've absorbed." He explained calmly.
"Woah, well that's kinda cool, not lame, not lame at all." Riko said, patting the curse that Kuroi rode, with a smile. Cute.
As the two women were amazed by the curse, Satoru had turned back to Suguru "This brat is more aggressive than I had expected, wouldn't the merger make you, I don't know, emotional?" he sneered to his best friend. The long haired man just smiled at the other man "I don't know, Satoru, she seemed fine with me, perhaps her way of-"
Instead, Riko had turned over to both men, standing over the couch dramatically.
"Listen carefully, you two. Master Tengen is me! And I am Master Tengen! Some fools confuse merging with death, like you, but it's a huge mistake! Merging will make me Master Tengen, but Master Tengen will also become me. My will, mind, and soul will continue to live on after merging…!"
Except that Satoru Gojo had stopped paying attention halfway through her speech, he was currently showing Suguru his new phone wallpaper "It's Waka Inoue, whatcha' think?"
Riko glared at them, cheeks flushed "HEY! Listen to me!!" she got off the couch, hands on her hips, with a small glare.
Suguru's gaze snapped back to her, he chuckled, guilty as charged "We're sorry, Riko-chan, that's... a very noble duty to have, we will ensure you can get to do it." Satoru stared at him like he had lost his mind, Suguru shrugged. "Right Satoru?" which had the white haired man sigh "Yeah yeah, whatever."
The problem? Riko was a mess on the inside. J-jerk... he's gonna be the end for me..! "Gee... no need to sweat it, just do your job properly, and, uh, stick close if you're really gonna protect me" she mumbled, looking at Kuroi as a safe point, to avoid her heart from fluttering further, until she remembers something and gasps. "Wait a second, school! Kuroi! What time is it?"
The older woman raised an eyebrow. "It's not noon yet, Riko-sama, but you better not-"
"Shush! I'm going anyway!" Riko bolted away, which surprised the two young men, she turned around for one second looking at Suguru "I'll be seeing you." she said, with a softer tone than intended, before quickly running away.
