AUTHOR'S NOTES: .....hiiii! bet u didn't think i'd be back here one (1) day after posting a new WIP with yet another WIP but i can't let any of us get too comfortable! i have been deep in the kpop trenches for the last five years and finally i've decided it's time to write an mdzs fic about kpop <333 i have no idea if this will be a two-shot or a million chapters; it could go in any direction really but it will be entirely epistolary! and it will primarily focus on the mdzs characters, though just for fun i've built out this universe by making tgcf and svsss their own entertainment companies (it's just set dressing for this fic, though maybe i'll write a tgcf fic in this universe at some point)

while not actually set in korea, this au will draw heavily upon the infrastructure of the kpop idol industry, where young wannabe artists are often trainees at a particular entertainment company before getting selected for a particular girl group or boy group. there will prob be a few korean terms that i use throughout bc they're just so quintessential kpop, such as "maknae" referring to the youngest member of a group or "aegyo" referring to acting cute. we'll see how this all unfolds! i may refer to "cpop" in the fic itself but the irl cpop industry is different from the kpop industry so i'm not referencing actual cpop...u get it

i will do my best to try to make things make sense if you are not familiar with kpop, but as always you're welcome to ask me any questions you may have <3 this chapter is just a little intro to start with! a kpop-inspired story simply wouldn't feel right without me including the equivalent of kprofiles for all the idols, complete with their blood types and mbti
