Why was this so nerve wrecking? It's not as if the two hadn't kissed at all before. Ann remembered the day clearly. Sure it wasn't exactly the most romantic scene but that didn't matter. It wasn't an accident but it was a little clumsy, awkward even. When they had asked… “Hey uhm… Since we’re dating… Can we kiss?” And shortly after that it happened, though they had been tense and nervous. The equivalent of a small peck yet it did the job. They even still remembered the lips, how soft they were and how they lingered despite being so cold. It was hard to forget. Like some addict they had gone for more kisses since, enjoying them perhaps a little too much. Yet he always indulged them. Even when they had asked him if it was annoying he shook his head and said: “Not at all. Sure, it's surprising that you want to kiss someone like me but it feels… Nice.”
And yet here they were, years later into the future… Five? No, six maybe. At least six, yeah. And one would think that it would be the same. Yet there was something within Ann which they found almost impossible to indulge in it, let alone ask. Even though both were in their shared room at that moment, on the same bed. They had even asked for him to stay there, just a moment. They were hoping to just get it over with, ask him again. And yet they couldn’t just do that. Something made it stuck in their throat, as if it was wrong to ask. Even though it was more than fine to ask, it probably was. He was going to say no… Right?
Though at the moment it was just too difficult. Maybe because it still felt surreal, even though he had pretty much woken up from the Neo World Program a few days ago. Nagito should be the same as he always had been. It should be fine. It should be ok. But here they are, unable to get that question out. At most their lips are trembling, the words not even trying to squeeze themselves out. It was frustrating and it may as well show right now. They probably look pathetic if not just flat out stupid. Maybe he’s internally laughing. Usually Ann would be so good with words, their reputation as the Ultimate Novelist would suggest so, but now they were at a loss for words. Keep calm, it will be alright. It’s just a sentence. Just a sentence. Just a–
But then, suddenly, their thoughts were cut off. Because they suddenly realized that their lips were being occupied, squished against something wet and soft but also cold… And then their eyes registered it too, just how close the sight had gotten. He was so close that all they could see was one of his greyish green eyes which was closing rather quickly. They would even notice a hand sneaking behind their back, holding tightly onto them, having them pushed closer so their body fronts could squeeze right against each other. It overcame them in one fell swoop – They were kissing. Without a further warning the two were caught in a kiss, just like that. Ann wanted to ask first but… That worked too?
Not like they had enough time to process it as Nagito pulled back soon enough, though the grin would not escape his face, even after he had opened his eyes. “That’s what you wanted, right?” He even asked but knew all too well. There’s no way that he didn’t know. If anyone could read them like an open book, it was Mister Hope Fanboy himself.
Hence why they managed to nod, even if a little weakly. “Y… Yeah…” They responded. “That’s exactly it.”
“And you would love another, right?” The question got them a little startled. They were going to be fine with just one, especially now, but the suggestion came literally out of nowhere.
“Eh!? I… I mean… Yes but–” Yet then they got cut off again, another sudden kiss. And then another. And another. He did it without question, a literal onslaught which was overwhelming them to no end. They were literally burning at that rate yet it felt good… So good that they became rather dizzy from it but not in a bad way.
And he is always asking why they would want to kiss someone like him. Because he’s freaking good at it and they loved every moment of each kiss! What’s there they would not want to kiss!?
Uh… Anyways, just… Leave it be for now. This looks like it will take a while… Heh…
