Chapter Text
When you awoke with a terrible feeling of backpain, the last thing that you expected when you opened your eyes was a high as hell cave ceiling? With a hole showing a pinprick of sunlight shining down?
‘What in the world-’
You sit up far too quickly, suddenly feeling dizzy and seeing dark edges around your vision. Closing your eyes as you hold a hand to your head, you wait a couple of seconds before opening your eyes again and looking around.
Stone walls and a tunnel leading… somewhere. You notice a soft sensation under your hands as you look around. Looking down, you see a bed of big golden flowers beneath you.
‘Wait a damn second!-’
GOLDEN flowers, in a CAVE, with a GAPING HOLE above you going on for a long ass distance.
…
This was way too familiar.
‘Oh god fucking DAMN IT!!!’

After coming to terms with the fact that you were most definitely probably in the game UNDERTALE, and not in fact dreaming (you pinched yourself QUITE hard, thank you very much). You decided not to be stupid and think of how you would be going about this.
First of all, you should probably figure out whether you were actually replacing Frisk from the original game, or if you were like, in a whole ass different time and you’d have to, like… completely learn everything about the world anew. This would be pretty easy to figure out, seeing as, if you were replacing Frisk, you would encounter Flowey in the next room.
Second of all, would you follow the events of the original story? This you thought out rather quickly, because you did not wish to be stuck in the underground forever, and you’d rather help the monsters OUT of the place. So, true pacifist route it is.
Third of all, a pretty dang important part, could you SAVE, LOAD and RESET? You genuinely had no idea how to figure that out at the moment, so you resigned yourself to waiting until you came to the place where the first SAVE point would be in the game.
…
Other than that, you could probably figure it out along the way… Hopefully?
In any case, right now, you were really excited to meet all your favorite characters because holy shit you were in UNDERTALE what the fuck.
Well, in any case, you should probably get a move on and enter the next room huh?
As you stand up, you feel a tad dizzy, but the sensation eases up soon enough as you start walking towards the tunnel. You squint your eyes as it gets a bit darker as you walk, but as you enter the following room, it brightens up a bit.
…
Lo and behold, there stands a large golden flower, probably a bit shorter than the height of your legs. Flowey gazes into your eyes with a slightly unnervingly sweet smile.
“Howdy! I’m Flowey. Flowey the flower!”, he cheerily says as you blink in surprise.
Your very soul seems to sense there is something deeply wrong with that flower, the cheery tone sending shivers down your spine as you recall the fact that this is currently a very soulless monster.
“Uhm… Hello there Flowey?”, you mutter an introduction to the monster.
“Hmmm… You’re new to the UNDERGROUND, aren’ tcha? Golly, you must be so confused.”
“I am actua-”
“Someone ought to teach you how things work around here!”
‘That was an UNNECESSARY interruption you idiotic flower. Seriously, the sheer AUDACITY.’
“I guess little old me will have to do. Ready? Here we go!”
Absolutely nothing could have prepared you for the moment your SOUL came out of your GODDAMN chest and stayed visible right in front of where your heart is situated.
“See that heart? That is your SOUL, the very culmination of your being! Your SOUL starts off weak, but can grow strong if you gain a lot of LV.”
Yeah, you’re not doing that.
“What’s LV stand for? Why, LOVE, of course! You want some LOVE, don’t you?”
“I really don’t thi-”
“Don’t worry. I’ll share some with you! Down here, LOVE is shared through… Little white… ‘friendliness pellets’.”
A bunch of white, sharp, little pellets appeared out of thin air. You felt a bit unsettled as the deceptive deadly little things point at your body.
“Are you ready? Move around, get as many as you can!”
The things started moving towards you at a pretty rapid pace and you decided that, FUCK NO YOU ARE NOT GETTING HIT BY THAT, and jumped out of the way as the pellets rushed past you.
“Hey buddy, you missed them. Let’s try again, okay?”
As the pellets came towards you once again, you quickly moved out of their trajectory, narrowing your eyes at Flowey, who was looking increasingly unamused.
“Is this a joke? Are you braindead? RUN. INTO. THE. BULLETS!!! friendliness pellets. :)”
‘Wow that switchup was freaky to hear and see in real life, what the hell-’, Your thought process was interrupted by another wave of Flowey’s pellets that you needed to dodge. After dodging, Flowey looked a LOT more pissed.
“…You know what’s going on here, don’t you? You just wanted to see me suffer.”
A circle of pellets surrounded you suddenly.
“Die.”
‘Shittttt, goat mother, please for the love of everything show up on time before I genuinely die.’, Then, just before the pellets close in on you, a fireball punts Flowey out of the room to… somewhere. After following Flowey with your eyes, you turned around and saw your savior approaching you, the one and only goat mother, Toriel.
"What a terrible creature, torturing such a poor, innocent youth... Ah, do not be afraid, my child. I am TORIEL, caretaker of the RUINS.”
“Ah- Thank you for saving me from that flower!”, you introduced yourself to Toriel with a smile.
“No worries, my child, I pass through this place every day to see if anyone has fallen down. You are the first human to have come here in a long time. Come! I will guide you through the catacombs.”
Toriel offered her hand to you, which you gladly took as you both started walking on towards the next room of the RUINS.
‘Well, at least that encounter went according to plot!’
